I found out about Nina's blog through The Hairpin. It is an amazing story about a young person's journey. It's hard to believe that she has been affected by something that we consider an 'old persons' disability. She is my age. This blows my mind - how would I cope with something like this if it happened to me? Hopefully with the funniness and grace that Nina has. I encourage you to read through her story -it is an eye opening account of how some people deal with people with disabilities.

I knew these were hallucinations when I saw them. My neurologist said they were probably because surgery or blood irritated my optic system. My brain surgeon said it was probably because I was a nut.
