Now, I could be wrong, but I feel like Mingming would be the type to show off in front of you, but deny it if anyone asks
He’d keep his feelings to himself, not necessarily because he’s too shy, but because that’s just the type of person he is
He tends to bottle his feelings up
Anyway, so you two would be in the same practice room
You’d be with a couple of your friends practicing on one side while Mingming is dancing on the other
He’d notice you come in and try out his riskiest and fanciest dance moves to try to catch your attention

Anyway, he’s there on the side prancing about, glancing at you like every few seconds to make sure you’re watching

He helps you ice down your ankle and gently rubs circles on your knee to prevent them from bruising any further

“I’m sorry, it’s my fault,” he sighs, dropping his head, afraid to meet your eyes
“Sdflksdj I’m sorry, I was staring...you were really good,” you could feel the heat rushing to your cheeks
“T-thanks...but I made you fall,” he pouts, looking at you with those adorable puppy eyes
“I-It’s f-fine...really,” you gulp, no one can resist Mingming’s cuteness
“Let me take you out on a date to make it up to you.”
“Okay...wAIT A WHAT?”
“Only when your leg gets better though. I don’t you to get hurt even more.”

No matter how riled up you get, he’ll always have that stupidly sweet smile on his face so you can never stay mad/annoyed for long
It sometimes scares you how calm he is about everything tbh
Anyway, he’ll take you on lots of dates

He doesn’t repeat dates so every time is a surprise

Missing You
So he travels around a lot for dance competitions (let’s just pretend he does hhh)
Luckily those are pretty short, usually, he’ll be back in less than a week
Lots of facetime sessions that last for hours!
Mostly compiled of you urging him to get some rest, him making kissy faces at you, and telling each other about your day
He misses you so much and gets sad so after your calls, he’ll probably mope around and thoughts of you keep him awake at night so he can’t sleep
As mentioned before, he tends to keep his feelings to himself so I don’t think he would really cry about it, but he’d definitely get moody
Ok, so he got into Qing Chun You Ni!! And we all know he’s hella talented so you knew he wouldn’t be back for at least 3 months :(((
You knew he couldn’t keep his phone with him since the staff confiscates them so both of you cling on to each other before he leaves
Finally, he was allowed to call one person...only for five minutes and he calls you because he misses you too much (ik in the show he didn’t but like...let’s just pretend he did hhh)
He’s really sad about not having seen you for so long, but when he called you, he tried to sound as cheery and relaxed as possible so that you wouldn’t get sad or worry about him
But of course, you worry…a lot
And he worries about you a lot
You bombard him with questions despite keeping up with the show
He simply keeps that perfect smile on his face and calmly answers your questions
When you finally smile, relaxing a little, he’ll let out a sigh of relief, knowing that you’re feeling better
As soon as he ends the call, his smile with drop and he’d excuse himself from filming and run to one of the bathrooms and cry quietly to himself

Finally, it was the finale!!
You went to watch it live and you were screaming your head off when you saw him on stage sldkfjdsk
Everyone around you was like “wtf...same”
At last, the show ended and you went to see him backstage
When he finally noticed you, he dragged you to a more private area before attacking you with kisses
You returned the kisses of course uwu
He pulled you into a tight hug and you could feel the stress, relief, sadness, and happiness all radiating off of him
He held you close and the two of you just stood there, hugging, for the longest time
You suddenly felt your shoulder, where he was resting his head, getting wet
You gave him little pecks and rubbed his back comfortingly
“I missed you…” he whispered
“I missed you too…”
And he pulls away from the hug and you already miss the warmth of his body
But he quickly pulls you back in for the most passionate kiss ever
You knew he would probably be gone promoting, solo or with the group, for a long time after so you made sure to cherish every second you have with him
Lots of cuddling and kisses when you get back home!!
Conclusion
All in all, Yao Mingming is the perfect boyfriend
Whoever ends up dating him is hella lucky
