Black Suit
Pairing: Wonwoo x Reader
Genre: Angst
Words: 2629
Warnings: None
Description: He knew about your dream wedding, he was there in every step in the way. The younger you told him that the only certainty you know is your future wedding and Wonwoo’s role in it.
A/N: Heavily inspired by this song Thomas Rhett - Marry Me and influenced by my sister who’s UB is Wonwoo, This was originally intended for Shua
If you were to ask people to look at Wonwoo from afar and ask them how he looks, they’d answer the word dashing in a heartbeat, no doubt. Ebony locks styled in slicked back manner, dressed in a dark suit that seemed to compliment his tall stature, seeming like its tailored to him in perfection, the hemline of his dress pants completely perfect in length, cuffs fastened paired with a black tie that accentuated the overall look with carbon polished gentleman shoes. Wonwoo looked like the perfect groom, there could be.
But, that doesn’t stop the jitters and the funny feeling has been swimming in his system, feeling nervous for the wedding never crossed his mind until here he was getting ready today for the big day. He can’t seem to calm his nerves, especially it’s now just hours away until you’re married. One looked at himself in the body length mirror close to the door in his hotel room, hands shaking, he decided to get the flask that contained a strong whisky get him out of nerves, that was on top of the coffee table near the bed, taking a long shot finding the need for the help of a little liquid courage wouldn’t hurt. He needed to get by the end of the night hopefully without spilling any tears and that if he does nobody would notice him doing so.
He couldn’t believe that your dream wedding was happening in just a few hours away. This would be the wedding you had planned out since you were twelve and still asking him to push you while you sat in the swing, on the neighbourhood playground you guys used to frequent as a child and pre-teens. At 12 you confidently decided that someday you plan to get married and he was the first one to know as you looked so determined with those dreamy eyes of yours smiling at the thought while he laughed at you teasing you to think about your math grade that was barely hanging in there before thinking of life long commitments.
~
At 15 sprawled out in the living room of Wonwoo’s family residence, between life talks and jokes you announced that when you get married you wanted it to be perfect, down to the miniscule details, even as far as saying that you wanted your own grandfather to officiate the wedding. At 15, Wonwoo smiled softly at you, admiring the same determination, he saw in you back when you were 12; it was the same look you had that got Wonwoo’s heart beating thumping. Some time ago, he found that your smile automatically has an effect on him, making him do the same as he always wants you to be happy, he found out that the way you crinkle your eyes was adorable and had set his heart on overdrive, he learned that when you hold his hand, he’ll feel this warm bubbling inside of him that feels reassuring and he wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything else, he discovered that the way his name fell out of your lips are the favourite thing he likes to hear- the way other’s said his name had no tingling sensation the way you do. At 15, he realized that all his life for as long as he had known you, you already had his heart at the time you greeted him at the door with a bag of rice cake when you first moved into the neighborhood.
Wonwoo realized at that time when you were blabbering excitedly of your fantasies and plans about your dream wedding, he had fallen deeply and immensely in love with you.
“I’m telling you Wonu, magnolias are a must, they’re too beautiful not to be included in the flower arrangement. Ooh! And I want it in some tropical island, not too far away from Korea since it’ll be too much of a hassle for the guests, but I won’t have too many people in the wedding, like to imagine how much that would cost. Dang, I need to have a good job in the future or my future husband better works his ass off for our wedding.” You continued blabbering while vividly imaging your dream wedding and what it would look like before taking notice that your best friend had zoned out in you with a smile on his face, not really looking like he was paying attention to what you were sprouting, it looked like he was thinking of something interesting for him to still smile like that and you know Wonwoo, there’s just two kinds of smile he has; the creepy one or the insincere one. And no, in between.
“Awww, what was that for you idiot!” Wonwoo moaned out as you slapped his arm that he is now soothing out.
“Well, you weren’t paying attention to me, you doofus! And you have a smile on your face! I get scared every time you smile out of the blue it’s like you’re thinking of something evil.” You barked back at him looking at him with accusing eyes.
“I was thinking how you looked stupid right now. We haven’t even figured out what would happen to us in the future yet here you are planning your wedding.” Wonwoo laughed at you while his thoughts wander to what would the future hold for the both of you, would you both get in to the university you planned out to? What kind of job will you both hold in the future? Will you love it or not? Thoughts like plagued his mind.
“Things may be uncertain as of now life is always full of crazy surprises, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it tests you, but I’m sure about how I would like my wedding to be and you in it.” You reassuringly told Wonwoo as you look at him with bright eyes and a carefree look on your face that assures Wonwoo that whatever happens, whatever changes the future it might bring, you’ll still have each other’s back in the end.
“I can see it all right now.” Wonwoo smiled back at you warmly while his voice trailed off to the calming tone of his that you love as it gives you a sense of security that you guys will always be partners in crime, the best buddies for life.
Life did bring you both huge surprises! Who knew that the tall, lanky, awkward and book loving best friend of yours would become a trainee and later off into a kpop pop star under the group, Seventeen.
Now at 26, Wonwoo had the fame and fortune he never once imagined he would have. Though he did work hard for those things, but with only fulfilling his dream in his mind. He was not much of a spender anyway, he might splurge on gadgets and such, but not in designer clothes, jewellery and cars. He only bought things that fascinates and he deemed as he needs. Namely food, gaming, gadgets and books. That was basically things that cover his expenses, if you don’t mind the fact that he always treats you to whatever establishment you guys go to. Never bother bringing your wallet when you’re around Wonwoo as he feels the need to spoil yourself every time you guys are together.
Him, being in the group actually means, being introduced to all of the members, staff and managers. It was like Wonwoo and you came in a package, though you got particularly close to Mingyu since he was like the counterpart of you in Wonwoo’s life, which was okay since it makes Wonwoo less of a loner and Mingyu is honestly a darling to be with, never a dull moment with this overgrown puppy who lingers with the grim reaper like being dork you call your best friend. It was now never just the tandem of you and Wonwoo, Mingyu is now inserted into the equation.
You permanently moved into the city during college and was able to stay since getting a stable job in the city as well, which meant frequent visits at the dorm and company, heck you even sometimes you to their schedule in the guise of a stylist in which fans had thankfully never suspected you.
~
It was like any other nights you guys spend together, after work you’ll refresh yourself with a bath, throw on some comfy leggings and a sweater or a hoodie anything you deemed comfy, some shoes or sandals and your off to the building or the dorms, not bothering to eat at home since you know you’ll eat when you guys meet up, this group in particular has religiously gone out to buy tons of food at the convenience store near the office and that means ramen and other holy grail of food they have would be your dinner. Though sometimes you guys do order take out when everyone’s too lazy to go out.
This night in particular, the group had commanded the both of you to do the nightly ritual of purchasing goods at the convenience store. Mingyu wanted to badly join you two, but with a stern look of Seungcheol and a need for further practicing the confusing dance move declared by Hoshi, the plan went out of the drain. In which the bean pole in Dino’s word, got all pouty before reluctantly letting you both go on the nightly adventure down the convenience store.
Humming softly, you trekked the path to the convenience store, just basking in the comfortable silence between you and Wonwoo. Missing times like this, when life was much simpler and quieter.
Passing by a playground you stopped walking and Wonwoo walked a couple steps before noticing you had not fallen into steps with him anymore and looked back to see you have a knowing look in your face, head nudging in the direction of the swing set while grinning at him.
Wonwoo let out a small chuckle before nodding and walking to the playground towards the swing set which made you grin so bad before excitedly skipping towards the swing while the bag of your purchase you were holding swinging wildly. That kind of childish innocence you displayed had Wonwoo’s heart beating faster than the usual, never being able to wipe off the smile he has on his face as he calmly walks behind you, trudging towards the swing set you’ve already settled yourself down with.
Sitting down to the seat next to yours, you both enjoy the peace around you, nostalgia hitting you both at the moment seemed like déjà vu and takes you back when you were 12 sans the part where Wonwoo pushes you.
“So much has happened in the past years that it’s crazy once you think about it.” You muttered while glancing at the sky, pushing yourself just a tad bit in the swing while letting out a small chuckle as the years flashed by in your mind bringing a smile on your face.
“Yeah, it has, but one thing never changed, though you’re always by my side.” Wonwoo agrees with you as he huffed out a sigh whilst thinking back to the years bringing a smile on his face as he looks at you so tenderly and longingly.
“I’ll always be here Wonu, remember when we were in first grade and I told you I’d never leave you alone. I’m still here, buddy you’re never going to get rid of me anytime soon mister.” You laughed out as you looked at him with the same look you had back then, back then he realized how utterly in love he was with you and still is.
“Yeah, I know.” Wonwoo smiled at you while muttering those words, falling into admiring you under the night sky, with the lamp near illuminating your features making you more irresistible than you already were in Wonwoo’s opinion.
The silence that dances around you both is comforting and hypnotic at the same time that as Wonwoo continued to stare more at you, finding himself focusing more on your lips, finding the sudden strong urge in leaning down and claiming your lips more prominent than ever that he couldn’t help, move closer to you and slowly lean down. Seeming hypnotized by your lips more than ever. Though you stayed frozen not knowing what was happening and what was running through Wonwoo’s mind. As he was just an inch away from your lips, breathe mingling with each other as the proximity so close, both of your hearts beating wildly at the same time, minds racing a minute per mile.
“Wonwoo…” You breathed out with a tone laced with uncertainty and hesitance, when he was just a tilt away from kissing you on the lips and that seemed to get him out of his reverie and snap out of the hypnotic trance he had.
“I’m sorry.” Wonwoo hastily whispered as he scrambled to get himself away from you as he panicked when he heard you say his name with that kind of voice you never used on him and that completely pulled him out in whatever got to his head and scrambled out to get out of presence of you as a way to get a hold of himself.
What was he doing? You guys have been friends forever and that was kind of awkward in Wonwoo’s opinion, he didn’t really know what had happened to him, it was never like him to have the best of his emotions get to him, he was always the calm and collected one between the two of you, the goal oriented and level headed one. Even though he knows he loves you, that was not how he wanted to confess to you this wasn’t the time he wants to know if you also felt the same way, especially now considering the situation.
Wonwoo got his answer seeing now he’s decked out in the attire for your wedding. He wanted to find you as he knows that by this time you were in your magical wedding dressed that you’ve always dreamed about, probably looking so ethereal like a goddess, welcoming the guests now. He wanted to talk to you before the ceremony. He was almost near the venue that was designed to the perfection of your vision, before he stopped himself.
What was the use of talking to you now? That made him come to a sudden halt in his walking, the thought of messing up things in order is unnecessary and too late now. What would it do if he had gotten all of the things he wanted to say to you? It’s not like if he told you now it would change anything. It was this sudden realization that promoted the other realizations he had.
If only he had told you what he feels about you earlier then thing would have been easier.
So, here he was dressed in his black suit and black tie with a shot of whiskey to help him feel a little numb to make it through the night without crying as he wants you to be able to enjoy your day that you’ve planned out with him since you were 12.
If only it was him you were about to exchange vows of forever at the altar, if only he was the groom and not the best man.
If only you were marrying him instead of his best friend and band mate, Kim Mingyu.
If only….
Ha! I was able to make this even though I was busy with grad school
Permanent
Pairing: Mingyu x Reader
Genre: Fluff (Pure?)
Words: 2233
Warnings: None (diabetes from fluff?)
A/N: Kind of like the epilogue for Spontaneous. The idea came to me when I should be sleeping cause I have MA classes in the morning, but fangirling doesn’t choose any time LOL.
The scene that is shown before you seem so foreign yet familiar that it warms your heart to such an immense state unexplainable. Now that you are not just living for yourself, but also for your baby girl and you like to think that with motherhood, it comes with the motherly instincts that anything that makes your child happy automatically makes you happy and seeing the father and daughter interact just fills you up to the brim of happiness.
How many times had you dreamt of moments like this?
Kim Mingyu holding your daughter adoringly with that soft smile of his and hints of his beautiful teeth, fangs and all with your little Miyeon looking back at her father with her sparkling eyes and tight grip on his fingers, is such a sight to behold. It fills you with so much love and happiness that it's close to the point of feeling surreal, you never knew you could feel so much love bubbling within you, filling you with fondness over such sight.
It honestly still needs some time getting used to. Seeing Mingyu's belongings littered around the confines of your apartment once again, his side of the closet filled to the brim with his comfortable shirts, pants, shorts and etc., his toothbrush once again next to yours, his mug displayed on top of the counter, his fluffy house slippers laid next to yours, his belongings just simply next to yours again, like they were never backed away from your place.
But, you noticed that lately he seemed much more tired and stressed and it leads you to believe that it's because of driving back to your house after practice or any schedule and your apartment is already a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Pledis building, and their dorm is just situated 20 minutes away in comparison. Not to mention his schedule has been hectic and filled to the brim, flying here and there, showing up at festivals and gigs left and right, is just down right drowning him into exhaustion and it alarms you that maybe, it would have been better if he goes back to living with the boys again.
And tonight, may seem to be like the time that you put an end to it. He had texted you hours ago that they had finished the schedule and he is on his way back home, skipping the dinner gathering the group has in celebration of the end of their promotion, just for the sake of having quality time with the both of you.

Summary: Well, you basically learned you're stuck on a cruise for a week with your ex -fiancé with his current girlfriend and that's not all, your first love with your childhood friends whom you haven't seen in a long time are on board too! So much for being a stress-free vacation. A/N: When I take my meds and I get dreams that I would write out when I wake up hahaha
Life hasn't been great for you so far, almost everything in your life. Especially your parents, honestly, you love them to death, but sometimes they just make you want to curse them to the hell and back. It's just that they pressure you so much about the need to settle down and give them grandchildren, like it's that easy to just do those things for them, it's not like you can just order a husband and a kid for you with a snap of a finger. They don't even do that to your older sister, who's a doctor as they believe she needs to focus more on her career and that in God's timing, she'll have a family of her own, and you're like, couldn't it also be applied to me? Can't they just be happy for you as where you are right now? Especially in your case as you're still on the process of putting your life back again together and you've thought how there's nothing wrong with staying single and being as a strong independent woman, right? Hallelujah to Beyonce right?!
There's also your boss who's always on your neck, breathing down, pressuring you to be better than your previous performance, it would have been motivated if not for the fact that he always makes it a point to nit picking every little mistake, just waiting for the chance for you to fuck it up and slip to fire you I have said fuck it a long time ago.
Normally, your friends would be the best people to understand your situation, but let's be honest, not all friends are the same, and that applies to your college friends who's all giving you invites on their wedding, don't get me wrong, you are honestly happy for them but it feels like they're slapping you in the face of what should have been. Just imagine going to the reception without a date and all your friends would ask you about how your love life is, or how have you already move on from your ex fiancé, but the worst part of it all is that they'd ask you about him! Like hell no I don't know how he has been, I haven't talked to him since he moved out and frankly, no, I don't need to be reminded of him thank you very much.
Things had just been piling up tremendously for you and it's been close to the point of being unbearable for you; physically and mentally. So, when your company announced that they're giving a large discount on this cruise as a sort of incentive, you immediately snatched the chance to be able to just unwind and relax for a second because honestly you feel like any more moment you dwell upon all these toxic thoughts you'd be hurling yourself at a bridge and saying adios to all this mother fucking stressful problems of yours.
So here you are, at the port, ready to board such a luxurious cruise ship that would tour around Singapore- Malaysia- Hong Kong for just a week and you're just ready to indulge and focus on distressing yourself. You only just told your parents about the trip and your boss wanting to detoxify yourself and disconnect to the world for some time, meaning you've turned off your phone so no one can contact you. Feeling like this has been the best thing you've ever decided on your life.
That is until after you have settled down on your cabin and headed for lunch that you saw your ex fiancé, Kris, eating with him, you assume current girlfriend, just a few tables away from where you were seated and it has you cursing every God's up there for mocking you.
