Shen Yuan, now Qingqiu, thinks It all began some time after he started treating Luo Binghe nicely.
When seeing that their Shizun wasn't treating the boy like a beast anymore, some of the more pushover disciples were, not being nice, but at least not bullying him either. Rather, they simply ignored him.
Ming Fan being the exception.
Shen Qingqiu was not surprised, of course the biggest bully in the novel would not stop his treatement of the protagonist just because his Shizun didn't allow It anymore. However, the strange thing was that Ming Fan didn't seem to actually be doing anything!
He caught the boy following Binghe around, speaking with him, sometimes shouting and arguing in secluded corners, but he never seemed to encounter any bullying.
Surely that didn't mean It wasn't happening at all, everyone knows how bullys can hide their deeds from adults, the boy must be simply being more subtle now with Shen Qingqiu's new anti-bullying police.
At least Binghe doesn't appear to have any bruises, so he probably isn't a punching bag anymore.
Though Shen Qingqiu will admit, he forgot everything about Ming Fan new behaviour when Ning Yingying and Luo Binghe started their Childhood Sweethearts Romance!
In the original novel they never really dated before the whole abyss thing, but now that there was no perveted Shizun or idiotic disciples troubling the protagonist, they were clearly starting a relationship!!
He had seem Luo Binghe and Ning Yingying happily walking down the bamboo florest more than one time by now, always responding with a "we were just admiring the view" or a "we were studying together" when asked, even though they were blushing. Other disciples reported that Ning Yingying would seem to dissapear from her dorms some nights, and Luo Binghe could never be found during this time.
They would also sit together during meals and classes, talk during training, to the point some hallmasters complained about them interrupting classes, or how It was improper for them to be this close, but Shen Qingqiu didn't care! The First Wife was finally getting the development she deserved!!
That was, until Ming Fan started to intrude their dates.
That brat!! Just because he is head disciple doesn't mean he can just put himself in his shidimei romantic lives like that!
The walks through the bamboo now included a grumpy shixiong a few steps behind the couple. When Yingying and Binghe were uncoutable at night, Ming Fan would also be missing. There was no cause to worry, of course. The protagonist Halo would never let Luo Binghe lose his First Love. There might be a big fight, that he would surely see, but in the end Ming Fan would end up defeated and running with his tail between his legs.
No need to worry.
