The music was loud and maddening, yet KiBum who’d usually complain couldn’t bring himself to care. His week had been hell from Monday to Friday and he only wanted a break.
Actually, not only that but…
“Excuse me, is this seat taken?”
KiBum smirked over the brim of his glass.
Actually, this was for what he’d been waiting.
Him, the only one who could turn around even the gloomiest of his moods.
“Don’t you see is empty?” was his own way of telling Him how much he’d been looking forward to this day.
He heard a chuckle in response and Him, the stranger, sat next to him, immediately ordering ‘the usual’.
Yes, because in spite of having been hooking up more Saturdays than none for the last five months, Kim KiBum and Choi MinHo were indeed strangers who didn’t even know each other’s names.
Not that KiBum minded—well, of course he knew some things about Him. Like, Him really liked to be kissed and touched on his shoulders, or that Him was a junior in college studying something Him hated just because Him’s parents had forced Him into it.
And well, Him knew things about KiBum too. Like the key tattoo he had right above his hipbone which had earned KiBum a very unique nickname only Him used. Him also knew that KiBum hated his new boss but was unable to quit his job because he adored it nine ways to heaven.
Small yet big things like this made KiBum feel he truly shared a bond with this stranger, even if they only sought each other every now and then at a loud impersonal nightclub.
Sensing his bad mood, MinHo reached out for KiBum’s hand and stroked it lightly.
“So, how was your week?” he asked in a low voice, leaning over to brush his lips across the soft perfumed crook of KiBum’s neck, and the latter sighed at the so needed contact.
Maybe they didn’t even have each other’s phone numbers, and they were certainly far from acquaintances, and even further away from real lovers. However, at times like this, KiBum just knew it was enough.
