Samsung reported to be working on Galaxy S4 Mini
Samsung Galaxy S4 was introduced by Samsung couple of days back in an unpack event in New York. As confirmed by Samsung, Galaxy S4 will reach the global market by April 2013 with two variants. Samsung is also reported to be working on mini version of Galaxy S4 which is expected to be launched during summer in June / July. Samsung seems to follow the same pattern that was adopted for Galaxy S3 version of smartphone. Post huge success of Galaxy S3, a mini version was also introduced that again rocked the market.
The report was published by SamMobile which also indicates that the Galaxy S4 Mini has made an appearance on Samsung’s official support website. The official appearance has also indicated that the device will be launched in four variants as follows:
GT-I9190 = HSPA+ Variant with a Quad-Core CPU GT-I9192 = Dial-SIM HSPA+ Variant with a Dual-Core CPU GT-I9195 = LTE Variant GT-I9198 = China Variant
As per the report, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will have a 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD display with a pixel density of 256ppi. The device will run on latest version of Android i.e. 4.2.2 with TouchWiz skin (TW Nature UX 2.0) and a dual-core processor, clocking at a speed of 1.6GHz.
According to the report, the Dual-SIM variant (GT-i9192) of the device is rumoured to feature a Dual-Core processor whereas the HSPA+ Variant (GT-I9190) variant is rumoured to feature a Quad-Core processor.
Five set on images are also leaked online, that is claimed to the smaller version of Galaxy S4, by Ermek Kubanychbekov who is a follower of SamMobile on Twitter. The claimed to be Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Images also indicates that the device bears the model of GT-I9190 and would enjoy the same design pattern as the superior version, but with a reduced form factor.
According to another report published on the same blog, Samsung is also working a new SoC (system on a chip) named the Exynos 5210 that is expected to power the upcoming Galaxy S4 mini variant.
