Hey! I’ve been digging around the blog and ao3 to see if I could find any stucky fics set during the cold war, with focus on the space race in particular, but I haven’t had much luck. Do you have any recommendations on that area? (Oddly specific, I know, but I’ve been binge watching videos about Nasa’s Scott Kelly “One year in space” series and now I really need a fic with astronauts in it) Thanks in advance!

Steve Rogers is discovered in the Arctic ice and defrosted in the early 1970s. Per President Nixon’s orders, he’s sent on a mission to Skylab. Publicly, the mission is meant to test how super-soldier physiology reacts to being in space. Covertly, Captain Rogers is also tasked with installing a device intended to intercept Soviet satellite transmissions. The USSR becomes aware of this secondary mission, and sends up a cosmonaut of their own to sabotage the device. When the two men cross paths in the isolation of space, a shared history and long-suppressed passions lead them down a path that their respective governments never anticipated.

I am neither an astronaut nor was I alive during the 1970s, so expect plenty of scientific/historical inaccuracies.

Hey! I'm pretty new to the CA/Stucky fandom so this blog is amazing and a true godsend! I checked the tags and search bar already, but I couldn't quite find what I was looking for: do you know of any Cold War fics? Not the WWII ones; I'm thinking specifically Cold War period. Doesn't have to be Stucky in a relationship per se, but obv both of them as the central characters. Thanks again for all you guys' hard work!
