Yesterday, while on my break at work, Alea messaged me this mindfuck. Bored Lord gets insanely wet on this drippy number, in the visuals and audio. I'm pretty sure the vox are 2 Chainz, making this even sweeter for me. Also shouts to my boy Blam Lord; the only one to comment on the video and always 10 steps ahead of me in the muck and mire. Lo-fi sounds juxtaposed with warped synths make up the perfections of Minivan Markus. With his hip hop aesthetics, songs like h ☻ ☺ l ı g a n s and ₵нᵾʍρ Ͼ׀Ϯỵ experiment with the genre bending qualities of "future" music. Then again, there's the darker side of it, heard through songs like ΞГI$$$ŦIC Ξ$$$CΛLΛŦIӨΠ or eximiæ, the newest single from CVLT45's EP, a collaboration between him and Bored Lord. They call their music Abrasive Memphis Minimalism, where movements are placed in juxtaposition between tones, sounds and arrangements that converse with dissonance against webbed networks of primal rhythms. Whatever it is, it's a new species of music with more to come.
