lowkey getting the vibe that the writers have a favorite mew mew...

yes, technically Lettuce has gotten two episodes to shine already, but technically every mew gets their awakening episode at the start of the series so that barely counts. Afterwards, she has that one episode on the cruise, which admittedly is vital for the plot. meanwhile I think Mint's episodes kinda intertwined with Zakuro's in terms of her development, making it less about Zakuro's awakening and more about Mint. and that was a three-parter, with the second part having even more focus on Mint when she had to figure out how to save Mickey.

then there was the season finale at Tokyo Tower and it was Mint who got the Mew Aqua. on top of the subplot of her studying abroad.

I dunno, I'm mixed. I wouldn't mind it if there were more episodes so that each of the girls could get a spotlight and personal arc. however since the total count is 24, everything would be rushed. I'll have to rewatch the original to see if this is some attempt at "rectifying mint's character". I can't recall if she was less developed in the original or not but I'm guessing if she was, this is the writers attempt to "fix it", while kinda overshadowing other characters.

it might get better later on. so far my feelings for the reboot are kinda neutral. I don't hate it, don't love it. It's a solid 6/10 rn.

When Mint confessed to Zakuro, my Tokyo Mew Mew oc crashed the confession lol
