I guess they w0ould try tying in Sho's story cause his end in P4AU is very open-ended. It would be amusing if Naoto or Akihiko make an appearance bc of the whole phantom thief fiasco... (Also, is it just me or the protag's friends look like deliquents or at least not model students? Maybe the team members except Morganna are 'problem kids'...)

If Protag really does turn out to be Sho, I expect the fandom to shake with "YAY"s on one half and "BOO"s on the other half, in any case, much shaking. I personally hope it's true. It would line up so neatly and give P4U2 SOME semblance of purpose, that it is desperately lacking right now.

As for An and Sakamoto... Yeah, you're right, they're definitely more in the "problematic" direction. Both of them have blonde dyed hair, which is common for Japanese rebels and delinquents (hence Kanji's hair being dyed too.)

In fact, Sakamoto looks like a borderline delinquent (he may have some Kanji in there?) and An seems to be a Gyaru-Kei, based on her looks. So yeah, your team consists of Bullied Nerd, Carpe Diem Delinquent and Punk Gal. Plus one Bonus Cat. That's quite a change from P3's High-Class-Society and P4's Average Kids. 

We are descending in social rank, steadly.

Maybe the Shadow OPs from previous games could just appear as cameos or small mentions here and there so not to steal the new crew's thunder. Besides, it'd be more interesting to hear about the Shadow OPs from non P3/4 people imo

Agreed, I wanna see Non-SEES(or Labrys) Shadow OPs too, really badly. 

I kinda expect we'll get a cameo from Naoto somewhere along the line tho, because, Persona Using Phantom Thieves? C'mon, that  case has her name written ALL over it. She'd probably kill to investigate into that sort of thing.

Other than the tanuki dude shown before Sakamoto, there's that flying person too. They're either party member or an enemy...

I kinda hope that the team has a recurring opponent in a team of Persona Users sent my the Shadow OPs (not returning characters, but new characters), but I doubt those would move that way. 

I'm inclined to say Tanuki Dude and Flying Person are additional party members.

Persona Fiveeeeeeeee (although I don't have PS3 to play it orz) Seriously though, the last shot in that trailer made P5MC look even more like Sho (so the red hair is dyed? Or is it some long lost relative thing?) You'd think that the Shadow Operatives would be on the Phantom Thieves what with their flashy getup and their most probably illegal activities...

The Shadow Operatives are a much larger group than just Mitsuru&Co, so maybe your most common midbosses in this game are members of the Shadow Operatives that repeatedly get in your way?

And yeah, I think it's pretty likely it's Sho who had his identity changed by supernatural means. Would also explain why his Velvet Room is jailcell. He's suffocated by unconscious guilt as well as his complexes. Looks like he didn't "Break Out Of" at all in the end. If the theory is true, of course.
