I'm going to sound ungreatful and spoiled but idc I'm allowed to feel hurt over this. I bought great gifts for everyone and I've been good and obedient all year, I'm the easiest to buy gifts for and still, they managed to mess it up so bad..
I know christmas isn't about the presents but when you have a disfunctional family that doesn't know how to spend time together nor enjoy the company, gifts become a big part of what makes the holidays enjoyable for us.
They already managed to neglect my birthday, barely doing the minimum and making it a last second rapid celebration. Now, my christmas gifts were soooo bad...
Once again, dad gave a gift that's expensive and something he'd like, not me. I got a watch that I told him when he was asking me about it back in november that I don't want. I'm very specific when it comes to watches and I won't just wear anything (has to be the right size, style, colour, weight, ect.) so at the very least he shouldn't buy it without me but he didn't listen. Now I have a watch I won't wear and it's gonna collect dust on my desk. Next mum got me a cardigan that looks awful, I hate the texture and is somehow difficult to wear bc it's half teddy, half faux-leather which makes it unable to be worn as an everyday cardigan, and is way too thin to wear it outside as a jacket...
And their joined gift was a wooden cat puzzle from Temu that they also asked me about before and I told them I don't really want it.. my brother got me a book store gift card which is the best one but also feels too easy, like there was no thought behind it, just a default gift.
I gave them a bunch of ideas on what to get me, I sent them links, showed them pictures, took them to toy stores and showed them which LPS sets I like and don't have yet. My dad was even telling me how he got a coupon for one of the LPS sets, I thought he was gonna get me that... but no
Worked out today! It was an awful, horrible, really bad day but at least I moved my body and stayed under 1000kcal
