Summary:

All great power demands a sacrifice and in so many ways Miquella is destined to walk the steps of his own loathed mother. To succeed he must sever his heart as she did, place his beloved sister in harm's way, and wed himself to a warmonger who can never own his heart in truth, not when it has beaten so hard for another he’s now forced to betray. It’s a sacrifice that must be made, no matter how little as his saintly half may want it.
