hi hayley, i was what are you top five favorite movies and why? i always love asking people that question bc i think it says a lot about them

hello lovely 🥰 this is a hard-ish question for me because i do feel like it changes often! additionally, the answers to the questions "was it good?" and "did i enjoy it?" are completely separate and not always relevant to each other.

this is my top 4 on letterboxd at the moment:

i also feel comfortable including the 2003 adaptation of phantom of the opera simply because it had such a big impact on me as a child.

if i can go over 5 🥺 i would throw in the prisoner of azkaban (alfonso cuarón the man that you are), hotrod, & the shining. and also bo burnham's eighth grade because listen, i do NOT cry at movies but it hit home and i nearly bawled my first time watching it. and then the next day.

star sapphic, if only bc they’re prettier. black holes are cool but too scary

i never used to get poetry at all. but lately i’m finding a bigger appreciation for it. guess i was never exposed to the right kind before. i might be both? for pure reading i probably still prefer prose tho.

greenhouse sapphic. the smell when you enter a greenhouse just has so many memories. also the way the plants just grow towards the ceiling and crowd against the glass and...

i used to prefer country, but i think i’m leaning more urban right now. will probably change in the future again

depends on my mood. i had a period of a few years when i only wore a bra like five times. recently i’ve moved to mostly soft bras. bras are so pretty to look at tho. but both is good
