📺 Sending this because the other power points have been hilarious!
“So you’re my future groom? You’re not what I expected at all.”
"What - you thought I'd be scary or unusual?" Dearka Elsman raised an eyebrow, mischief dancing in his eyes and a smirk playing on his lips. "Isn't that what Naturals say about Coordinators?"
He set the book he was reading aside, standing to greet the woman who was to become his wife in a few months time as part of a pilot initiative to address both the growing fertility problem on the PLANTS with Coordinators, and animosity and discrimination between Coordinators and Naturals.
Dearka, a proud ZAFT soldier and veteran of both Bloody Valentine wars, had his doubts the initiative would work based on what he'd seen on the battlefield. However, as it was his own father's brainchild (thanks Dad), he'd been volunteered to be the very first to marry a Natural.
He wasn't thrilled, but he'd known for some time that if he ever wanted a family, he'd likely end up in an arranged marriage. How much different could one be to a Natural?
His looked over the woman before him, buttoning the top button of his grey blazer (his parents advised against wearing his uniform), before holding out his hand to shake hers.
"You're not what I expected either - you're cute, for a former Earth Alliance soldier."
Royals seem to fall like petals on a dying rose.
"One after the other, or right after they bloom?" Dearka responded without even meeting the gaze of the women who'd spoken the phrase just a few feet away.
Her answer would tell him if she was friendly or not, and for the heir to Februarius whose face was hidden under the hood of his cloak, it was crucial to know before he engaged further, lest he be taken prisoner again so soon after being released.
It was the third day of mourning for King Uzumi Nara Athha of Orb, and it shouldn't have been uncommon for royalty and nobles from surrounging kingdoms to pay their respects in the Grand Cathedral. However, the king had been killed by the very alliance - ZAFT - Februarius had been fighting with prior to his capture, and what remained of his forces had been part of the attack. He didn't entirely feel comfortable being there, but didn't feel comfortable about going back to fight with the people who were responsible for the king's death, either. How could he, when it looked like all they were doing was attacking defenceless kingdoms just to expand their own control?
He just hoped she responded right, and he wasn't made to be a fool for returning to Orb.

How long will they last? - They have some ups and downs, but they’re endgame. Til death do they part.
How quickly did/will they fall in love? - Dearka fell faster than Miriallia did. He thought she was cute right off the bat, but she interested him, too, being the only Natural he’d met, at that point, that he’d seen defend Coordinators. But with her getting over Tolle, it took some time for him to charm his way into her good books.
How was their first kiss? - Sweet, if a little tentative.
Wedding:
Who proposed? - Dearka
Who is the best man/men? - Yzak. Maybe Athrun. In an AU where Rusty and Nicol live, them, too.
Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - You mean bridesmaids? Murrue? Possibly Meyrin since they seemed to be close.
Who did the most planning? - Miriallia and Dearka’s mom.
Who stressed the most? - Miriallia.
How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.
Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - Flay Allster because she’s dead, any members of Blue Cosmos/LOGOS,
Sex:
Who is on top? - Depends on the position. Dearka usually is ‘top’ in respects to dominance, but he enjoys when Miriallia takes charge every once in awhile.
Who is the one to instigate things? - Dearka usually.
How healthy is their sex life? - Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now
How kinky are they? - Straight missionary with the lights off | 2 | 3 | 4 | Might try some butt stuff and toys | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Don’t go into the sex dungeon without a horse’s head (They’ll try a lot before they completely shut it down. Light bondage is a favourite. Not into anything that would hurt each other.)
How long do they normally last? - Depends on the situation.
Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? - Dearka would try and make sure she got off more. Men supposedly have limited bounce-back capabilities, so to speak.
How rough are they in bed? - Softer than a butterfly on the back of a bunny | 2 | 3 | 4 | The bed’s shaking and squeaking every time | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Their dirty talk is so vulgar it’d make Dwayne Johnson blush. Also, the wall’s so weak it could collapse the next time they do it. (Again, this depends on the situation, so I picked the middle ground)
How much cuddling/snuggling do they do? - No touching after sex | 2 | 3 | 4 | A little spooning at night, or on the couch, but not in public | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They snuggle and kiss more often than a teen couple on their fifth date to a pillow factory.
Children:
How many children will they have naturally? - 2
How many children will they adopt? - 0
Who gets stuck with the most diapers? - Miriallia. Dearka’s a military man, after all. But he does change his fair share - especially with their second. Who knew it was a 50/50 chance their son would start to pee every time they went to change a diaper?
Who is the stricter parent? - Depends. They’re stricter about different things, but Miriallia would likely be more strict.
Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - Miriallia
Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - Dearka. Miriallia can’t cook so if the kids want to eat, he better do it.
Who is the more loved parent? - Depends. They’re loved in different ways. But Miriallia would be more present, so leaning towards her.
Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? Pretty sure PTA meetings are only on movies. But Miriallia.
Who cried the most at graduation? - Miriallia.
Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? -Dearka. It would align with his job.
Cooking:
Who does the most cooking? - Dearka
Who is the most picky in their food choice? - Miriallia
Who does the grocery shopping? - Miriallia
How often do they bake desserts? - They go through binges where they’ll have dessert a lot, then other times not at all.
Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - Dearka is definitely a meat person, and Miriallia a salad person, so they compromise and have ~*BaLaNcEd MeAls*~
Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Dearka
Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Miriallia.
Who is more likely to burn the house down accidentally while cooking? - Miriallia. 100 per cent.
Chores:
Who cleans the room? - Miriallia
Who is really against chores? - Dearka. You expect him to follow the strict rules and procedures of the military and then come home and do the same there? Not happening.
Who cleans up after the pets? - Both.
Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - Neither.
Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - Miriallia
Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? - Miriallia
Misc:
Who takes the longer showers/baths? - Miriallia
Who takes the dog out for a walk? - How dare you insinuate they’re dog people. Their lives are too busy for the neediness of a dog, and Dearka’s Egyptian heritage has to show somewhere, so they have a cat. It stays outside, but Dearka likes taking it into the backyard so it can frolic in nature supervised.
How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - They go big on Christmas. Not really much decorating any other holiday, except a few jack-o-lantern’s at Halloween.
What are their goals for the relationship? - In the public sense, to show Coordinators and Naturals can live together peacefully, but often on a personal level, it’s to find balance between their jobs and the risks that come with them. Most of their fights stem from one of them doing something too dangerous and making the other worry. Also to have children, because it’s my personal headcanon that it would be super important on the PLANTs given the infertility issues with Coordinators. Having a relationship with a Natural would prevent their kids from having the same issue.
Who is most likely to sleep till noon? - Dearka, if he’s at home.
Who plays the most pranks? - Dearka
”I paid good money for your pretty face. It’s not too much to ask you to do this for me…”
If Naturals thought Patrick Zala was cruel for his plans to commit genocide against them, they should've looked at what they would do to Coordinators when ZAFT lost the war and realize Zala may have been justified.
The Earth Alliance, after using their weapon to destroy Aprilius One, decided simply killing the rest of the Coordinators wasn't enough for them to atone for their existence and so-called crimes against humanity. They felt they should be made to suffer, and on Feb. 14, C.E. 72 - the second anniversary of the Bloody Valentine - all recognized Earth's Sphere nations signed the Patchworker Enslavement Act.
The Act stripped the PLANTs of autonomy and freedom, formally decommissioned ZAFT, and had "Patchworker," a derogatory slang term, become the official name for what had been Coordinators. It also outlined a variety of processes for everything from how they were to be enslaved, what would mark them as slaves, and what rights - or lack thereof - they would have.
Orb, of course, fought the creation of the Act. However, with depleted forces, and the nation in a state of financial mess thanks to Uzumi Nara Athha's destruction of the Mass Driver, they government chose to concede to much of the Act rather than risk invasion, and while they were able to pass an amendment that exempted Orb citizens, it was only approved on the condition they would not accept new citizenship applications, and agreed to hand over any non-resident coordinators to the Earth Alliance.
While Orb was harbouring the likes of Lacus Clyne and Athrun Zala - both of which were highly sought after by the Earth Alliance - the off-the-record decision by the Orb government was to bury their existence, as well as that of Kira Yamato, on the island nation, and instead hand over Dearka Elsman, in a public display of compliance with the Act.
Dearka didn't have to fake how pissed he was as he was lead out of the Orb legislative building in handcuffs and formally handed over to the Earth Alliance. As cameras went off around him and the ceremony was broadcast to the world, he was then branded as PW-X103, and it was in the moment the number was etched on his skin that Buster's former pilot began to wish Patrick Zala had succeeded, despite his defection to fight against him.
He'd been the one listed as MIA by ZAFT - he would've been easy to hide given they thought he was likely dead already. He'd defected before Athrun had, and his father had been on the PLANT Supreme Council, too, standing alongside Patrick Zala. However, the children of the two former chairmen were apparently more valuable, more deserving of protection than he or any other Coordinators were (or at least, as Dearka suspected, more important to Cagalli).
It wasn't fair, but more importantly, it just wasn't right. He'd thought his father was a fence sitter, scared of risks and bold decisions, but Orb bowing to the Earth Alliance and handing him over to be enslaved so they could continue to live carefree, perfect lives was the biggest act of cowardice he'd ever seen in his life.
He might've felt better about it if someone had stood up for him, or caused a fuss when he was shackled and branded as if he was an animal off to slaughter, but clearly, Orb was only for doing what was right when it was convenient.
In the weeks that followed as more and more Coordinators were rounded up, they were used by the Earth Alliance to clean up war sites, from gathering bodies to dismantling and salvaging mobile suits and ships. Those who didn't try to escape or completely lose the will to live were then taken to prison-style 'training' facilities where the Earth Alliance did everything they could to break them into submission en route to being sold.
Bruises, scrapes and scars marked most of his body by the time Dearka was amongst those selected for a private slave auction party for the daughter of a high-ranking politician. Such parties had become one of the Earth Alliance's favourite ways of trafficking slaves, as if the light-hearted atmospheres negated the cruelty of selling people as merchandise. As the slaves were paraded through people in lavish masquerade masks, ballgowns and tuxedos, however, Dearka began to recognize some of the patrons as former Archangel crew members. Once lined up on stage, it became clear as to why; the party was held by none other than Flay Allster.
Some met his own defiant gaze with looks of pity; others tried not to pay attention to him, and as the bids started, Dearka couldn't decide if he was glad or angry they they didn't think he was worth buying. Flay made a half-hearted opening bid, but after that it was mostly Earth Alliance captains and commanders, until a familiar female voice cut through the crowd and closed the bidding.
His handcuffs were released, and a chain was clipped to the collar around his neck (a measure to prevent slaves from trying to escape during auction) and handed to his new mistress.
She'd let her hair grow out, and it was no longer flipped up at the ends. While he'd never dreamed she'd be caught at such an event, much less participating in it, there was no mistaking her brilliant blue eyes.
"Miriallia..." He breathed, forgetting where he was. For a moment, relief washed over her features, and the next thing he knew her arms were around his neck and her lips against his.
Somewhere next to him a slaver cleared his throat at the open display of affection, and he was brought back to reality by Miriallia pulling sharply on his chain, trailing her nails along his jaw.
"You're going to continue this in my room," she ordered. "I paid good money for your pretty face. It's not too much to ask you to do this for me."
Her eyes pleaded with him to play along, and Dearka realized that the Orb government wasn't indicative of all Naturals - and certainly not the one in front of him.
"Yes, Mistress," he replied, just catching suspicion fade from the slaver as he handed Miriallia her invoice and ownership papers.
[ 📞 ] ‘ i had a nightmare. ’
Dearka had one arm over his eyes as he answered his phone, exhausted. If he’d looked at his clock, it would’ve read 3 a.m. PLANT Time, but even at 3 a.m., he wasn’t about to ignore a call from Miriallia Haw, even if she was back in Orb.
“Mir? You OK?”
mirialliahaw replied to your audio post: ...
