At the moment we fully surrender ourselves and everything to God, a change begins to take place. It's a common misconception that we instantly become perfect and stop sinning; it a process called santification. We are seen as perfect in God's eyes because Jesus took care of our tab. But with His Spirit in us, He will guide us (if we listen) and convict us to ask for forgiveness when we do sin (instead of constantly living in sin). The battle that remains is of our spirit and flesh to continue being transformed into the new man (or woman) He is making us to be. Our spiritual gas tank may be full, but is it full of ourselves. We tend to not want to give up everything and give the Spirit of God room to work in us because that would require giving up something instead of just receiving something. We have no problem giving Him a small amount of room dedicated to Sundays, but why would we want that to still into our entire life everyday in everything we do? Right or no? Don't just check your tank gauge, but evaluate what's truly filling that tank.. You have a purpose. God doesn't care about your past, status, abilities, attributes, education, achievements, failures, etc. He evaluates your heart and your willingness. He seeks the available and empowers them to be the able. He uses the broken to shine his light through them. He has a purpose for every single person. He uses your specific person to reach others and to fulfill His will. Your past situations, struggles, addictions, temptations, and trials you go through may not seem clear at the time but sometimes are necessary to prepare you for the life ahead, so that you are better equipped with God's strength and to fulfill your calling in this life. #misfit4christ #misfitforchrist #garagechurch

Something to remember when you are going through a rough time, worrying or stressing, or afraid things aren't going to work out. Fear is what we feel during these times, but it's not from God. Fear is a liar just as the devil is. Know that God empowered us with His power to overcome fear, His love to comfort others, and a clear self-controlled mind. #misfit4christ #misfitforchrist #garagechurch

We are like glowsticks. We must first be broken, before we can shine. Just as a glowstick, we don't realize our potential and our purpose, until we have been broken. God uses the broken to show his grace, mercy, and love. The more broken the vessel, the more light shines through. 2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. #misfit4christ #misfitforchrist #garagechurch

Bitterness is a byproduct of unforgivness. If you feel like you think you have truly forgiven someone, when you're reminds of what they did to you, what is the immediate emotion you feel? Is it anger, is it resentment, is it hatred? Do you feel like it is still present and hold it over their head or do you feel at peace and feel it's truly in the past and you have moved on?
