11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what

YES. ALL THE TIME. EACH TIME. more than half the time, i end up looping a specific song while drawing something related to the song to keep me focused!

for example, i looped water the roses for my most recent nesting guide + teth doodle, i looped a beautiful kalimba cover of i hear a symphony while drawing chimesmith and builder for the valentines comp, maybe you can guess what i listened to for this idea ^^ <3

12. Easiest part of body to draw

oddly specific but the neck to shoulder area. it's one of the most consistent parts of the body regardless of body type.

while i love drawing faces and enjoy drawing limbs, i'm nowhere near good at perspective shots, and i think my design conventions can use some more diversity, especially in the hair department

13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing

the only one i can think of right now is gege akutami? i'm in love with their linework in jjk but i stopped catching up after yuki died and the story's not for me as of now

5. How does your skykid feel towards the ancestors? Do they have a favorite? A least favorite?

Ekavo adores Talented Builder! It's very obvious when it comes to his choice of clothing. They were the first ancestor he met and one of the first cosmetics he got (the hat.) Generally looks at ancestors with parent or sibling feelings. He doesn't dislike anyone. Maybe just gets slightly annoyed at those escort missions in Wasteland.

8. Fashion show! Show us your skykid’s favorite outfits!

Funnily enough, Tudaru doesn't know what a plague doctor is. His choice of outfit and interest in medicinal herbs are purely coincidental. He tends to get all sorts of plants stuck on his clothes. People sometimes ask him if he jumped right from the 17th century or just likes to cosplay. Tudaru just expresses a puzzled look at those questions.

11. Skykid’s feelings on light creatures?

Uyase genuinely believes all light creatures are pure and innocent. She has a tendency to be around places where light creatures gather or helps them out if they are in trouble. Sadly, that also means that she thinks that dark creatures are evil and corrupt. She will likely disapprove of sky kids who hold dark crabs.

✏️ for the artist meme?

Do you prefer traditional art or digital to relax?

You know, that’s not an easy answer actually haha! Digital is more accessible since my computer is just right here.  But creating traditional art is more rewarding because it’s a physical piece that doesn’t allow for undoing mistakes.  It’s funny but one of my favorite ways to chill out involves refinishing furniture - especially something really unstable.  I’ll pull it apart, sand off all the old glue and/or paint, stain it, and reassemble it before putting several coats of clear lacquer on it. 

So I guess the best answer would be traditional lol!  Thank you for the ask!

Do you have any favorite pieces youve done?

I know it’s a boring answer, but frankly any piece which comes out perfectly clear, and well-balanced within the resin, I love a lot, and feel like I did an okay job. I’ve made so many it’s impossible to pick out singular favorites.

That being said, I do have a few plants that are very dear to me, such as Yarrow and Wormwood, so any piece I make with those that does - in my opinion - their unique forms justice is one I tend to be proud of. That being said, I actually like the Wormwood light I just put up for this week’s update.

I also tend to be infatuated with whatever the newest design I’ve made is, so right now I just like any chunky necklace that fills out the piece. I really liked this one Goldenrod piece I made a few weeks ago, and of course the Yarrow pendant I made for myself, which I’m still wearing every time I go out.
