Halloween Shenanigans || missingarcana

Dramatis Personae:

Akihiko Sanada -- goldenboysanada

Miki Sanada -- missingarcana

Status: Dropped (Hiatus?)

Summary: Akihiko and Miki get together after the latter's night out during Halloween.

missingarcana:

“Trick-or-treat!” 

goldenboysanada:

“Miki!” Akihiko grinned at his sister and wrapped his arms around her in a hug. “Welcome back! How did your trip around the city go?”

missingarcana:

“Aki!” She giggled, returning the hug in full. “It was fun~ But I missed you! A lot!” 

goldenboysanada:

“That’s nice!” He threw her a sheepish smile before continuing. “And I missed you too! It seemed like forever since you were gone! I’m going with you next time, ‘kay?”

missingarcana:

“Of course, it would be much more fun— Oh! Oh! The more the merrier, right~?” She kissed his cheek and adjusted the hood of her costume. “Did you get any candy yet?” She smiled, hopping eagerly and trying to get a peek into his bag. 

goldenboysanada:

Akihiko made a face at Miki’s question. “I stayed behind to help with giving out the candy.” Ever since that incident where he had two teeth painfully extracted after an overdose on candy, he has been less than eager whenever the subject of that particular food came up. Though he promised Miki he’d go with her next time, he’d probably end up giving all the candy to her if that pushed through. “We have some leftovers at the kitchen. Do you want some?”

missingarcana:

“Aww…” Miki felt sad and happy at the same time. Happy because there would be other times to go trick or treating with her beloved elder brother, sad because just giving her candy defeated the purpose of trick or treating. “That’s cheating, Aki!” 

goldenboysanada:

Akihiko laughed. “It’s not cheating, trust me!” He took Miki’s wrist and led her to the kitchen, pausing by the door and letting go of her. “You stay here.” He then entered the kitchen and closed the door. “Okay, you can knock now, and say ‘Trick or Treat!’”

Miki nodded slowly, blinking at Akihiko before staring at the door. “O-okay!” She called back, staring at the door curiously. This was silly, but she appreciated his efforts. Hesitantly, she knocked on the door and held her bag out; waiting for him to open the door. “Trick-or-treat!” 

goldenboysanada:

He dragged a stool towards the counter and climbed up it, waiting for Miki to call out. Upon hearing her, he reached out for the jar and with some difficulty, managed to unscrew it. Akihiko then scooped a handful of candies and quickly made his way to the door, not minding that he dropped some along the floor. With his free hand, he opened the kitchen door and grinned widely at Miki, dropping a fistful of rabbit-shaped chocolate into her bag. “Treat!”

“Wah! My favorite!” She grinned back, looking at the add-on to her Halloween Haul. She took one out and unwrapped it, putting it in her mouth and letting it melt, holding her cheek in delight. “Wait— You’re not going to get in trouble for doing that, are you?”

goldenboysanada:

“Nope.” Akihiko shook his head for emphasis, cheeks glowing with pleasure at his sister’s reaction. “It’s for every—” His face fell as he remembered something, his words falling short as cold washed over him, recalling his caretaker’s instructions. Nonetheless, he tried his best to hide his agitation. “Yes! It’s for everyone, and everyone includes you!” He mustered a bright smile at Miki. No need for her to know that it didn’t mean a handful of candy for just one person, ne?

Miki questioned him for a moment, but shook her head to push the doubt away. “I can’t eat this all by myself, though…” She said slowly, pushing around candy in her back to see other kinds that she got. What she said was a lie— Without a doubt, she could put away an entire bag of candy with no problem, but she wanted to share some with him. If only a little bit. 

goldenboysanada:

“I…” He scratched the back of his head nervously. As her older brother, he couldn’t very well have her slog through all that candy on her own. It was unhealthy, as he learned in class. Also, nowadays candy was not his cup of tea—at least no longer. But he couldn’t very well leave Miki on her own, could he? With a sigh, he pulled Miki into the living room, making some space for them amongst the toys scattered around the carpet and summoned whatever enthusiasm he could for the task at hand.

“…Okay.” He took a seat on the carpet, motioning for Miki to do the same. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”

Following her older brother, she sat down next to him and dumped her candy out on the rug. “Are we going to sort through them?” She asked, poking through the candy. “There’s fruit candy, too, if you don’t like chocolate!” She mentioned, trying to make her brother a little more enthusiastic about having to share candy. 

“If you don’t want the fruit drops, I can take them…”

Abnormal Lass Sophia: and then random body parts fall from the sky

Miki-babu: and then internal organs also begin to fall

Abnormal Lass Sophia: as we both waltz dancing with sugerplum fairy playing in the background

"Geez, Miki, you know I love you to bits, but you need to take better care of yourself, especially if you want me to stop acting like a mother hen."

((A person I miss a lot. I'm not quite sure how to catch you online anymore, but I do care about you. You are wise beyond your years, and you remind me a little of Ken Amada in the regard that it seems like you've been forced to grow up really fast. Regardless, you do know how to have fun, and it's always a pleasure to have you during shenanigans in the dashboard.

In any case, I hope you're well wherever you are, little sis, and big bro loves you, okay? A chin up, a look towards the bright future, can help lots too.))

Happy birthday, Onii-chan~!!!

"Thank you, Miki. Be a good girl today, okay?"

"Okay, okay!" She gave in, his attack then stopping, she found herself in his arms. She hugged him back, smiling bashfully. "I love you, too, Onii-chan." She said, reaching up and ruffling his hair too, giggling and kissing his cheek.

"/PAYBACK/!? For what?!!" She raised her voice, even knowing it wouldn't make her point any clearer, she was quite exasperated. Candy was one of the things most important to her, she didn't know how he could do anything worse. "What else could you-- A-AH--!" She began giggling, trying to push him and his hands away. "S-stop making me laugh, I'm mad at you--" She said in between giggles, smiling widely.

"As--the--magic man--" He said in between each tickle attack, not quite able to hold back his own chuckles. "--I command your anger to disappear!"

Moments later, he abruptly halted his assault and quickly enveloped his sister in a tight hug. "I love you, Miki." Smiling widely, he kissed her forehead and ruffled her hair. "Silliness and all."
