Unpopular opinion puffin here but my least favorite Asian drama trope is when there drama that is all the cause of the main leads pushing each other away. I have no sympathy for a character who makes himself miserable for reasons that could easily be solved in other ways that don't include breaking up or hurting the person they love in turn. This trope frustrates me to no end and I hate it. Now if outside forces are making it so you have no other option but to break both the main leads hearts then sure go right ahead ie fall in love with me, love around, you're my destiny etc those all did the breakup thing but it was not something the main leads had any control over. Outside forces made it so they were observed of choice. But then things like boys over flowers, operation proposal, love family, love rain, just you, and precious youth happen and people love them even though their pain and suffering is all of their own making and volition. I have no sympathy because your love should be strong enough to overcome a temporary setback without breaking up. Ie bubblegum, love myself or you, love now.
