Congratulations to my bride and groom! We had an amazing time together! The images are one-of-a-kind without a doubt! 😊 2020 has been special to say the least.🤷🏽♂️ I'm checking the forecast this wedding day by the minute and the radar shows the clouds are in Canada. Then the bridal processional begins and rain droplets fall. The rain starts slow and it gets everyone just wet enough to look wet. I walk over to the Mission Point staff and ask them to hand out umbrellas to the wedding party and parents. It looks ugly in the sky and on radar now! They start to walk up to hand out umbrellas and the sky opens up. It goes from a little annoying to a waterpark right now. A waterpark that has lightening! 😬 It rains SO HARD!!!💧💧⚡🌧️ Everyone runs for cover; in the gazebo, under the trees, and into Mission Point Resort cypress room. The Mission Point Staff kicks into gear and they begin to usher people into the reception hall. It is chaos with intention for about 15 minutes. Then the storm moves by and we watch lightening and hear thunder for another 15 minutes in the distance while we do a photo shoot along Lake Huron.🌩️ The light is amazing! The bride and groom are upbeat, smiling, and they look wonderful. The air feels so clean and fresh. Nobody is around except us and the staff. It is perfection! Shortly after the carriage arrives and we are off on an hour carriage ride. Them in the carriage and me on my bike. 🐴🚲 We arrive back to Mission Point and we wonder what just happened. It all happened so fast! They are happy and content. Smiling the entire way. I'm wet, muddy, and thrilled that this all happened.
