Au and Giesing locals love this all-day spot for its "friendly service" and an ability to "transcend concepts from breakfast café, to lunch place, to dinner restaurant and bar".  Others might deem it "acceptable as all of these, but excellent in none". This "alright at many things, versus great at one thing" dialectic is definitely carried on by "the non-intrusive, predominantly white dining room", that feel comfy for all occasions throughout the day, without "ever being truly atmospheric or particularly nice". The basics offered on the eclectic regular menu are "consistently home-made, which is a plus" and can "claim universal appeal". Yet, the cuisine "reaches its limits with the daily recommendations that rekindle memories of the late 90s Munich gastro-café menu fare", when "flavors are often bland" and "creations will only win people over who want a physalis on top of every single dish they order."
