The black haired girl scanned the young man from head to toe. He seemed so…familiar. Pam frowned, but continued speaking with a soft tone.
“Search for anything you’d like,” She continued observing him and then she remembered where she knew him from. He was Brian’s replacement. He was his long lost lover’s replacement. Pam swallowed, holding back tears. She still cried for Brian’s death, the deceased musician meant the world to her, but he was now gone and she couldn’t do anything about it. “Looks like you’re into rock n’ roll.”

Of course any fan of rock and roll music was aware of his induction into The Rolling Stones--all they had to do was read the papers to find out the multi-instrumentalist who had also died horribly was replaced by some kid from a blues band. The Hyde Park concert had been his introduction to the Stones’ rampant fan base and, for the most part, he was accepted. It was America now that had to be the judge of his actions since the Stones hadn’t toured in years and Brian was still strong in their hearts. Part of him wondered if she actually was aware of who he was since she seemed to own the establishment he was visiting or if he just seemed to be the awkward Englishman that waltzed into her store.
Regardless, he could feel her penetrating gaze studying his every move perhaps out of interest and/or boredom but he made sure to hold his head down and not acknowledge her unless spoken to which came soon after. Mick smiled softly to himself but denied the claim as politely as possible. “Not necessarily. I tend to find the blues far more interesting. Perhaps it’s just the brutal honesty of it all, but I really quite like it.” As he spoke the last few words he lifted his head with an affirming nod accompanied by a friendly grin toward the woman behind the desk. “You’ve got an extensive selection.”
