Michael Westmore, who did all the alien makeup for TNG through Enterprise, did the Masters of the Universe movie. He was apparently very confused about how to handle Skeletor, especially when Frank Langella insisted that the character have lips, but was otherwise excited about finally doing a fantasy movie!
That actually makes a lot of sense. This movie however is just so much good cheese.
