Starscream has had millions of years to grapple with the complete loss of Vos and the all-but-complete ruination of his Seekers. There is nothing he could have done.
NOTHING.
Well, except possibly having allied with the Autoscum, and that wasn’t an option. They all would have been killed anyway, with the survivors forced to reconfigure their entire frames and essential parts of their coding. The ones who weren’t physically offline would have been culturally, essentially, dead.
One cannot regret what one could not have changed.
