🧸 a/n ; i literally had a dream exactly like this and it was too cute to not write into existence. hope you enjoy!! ♡
gentle raindrops falls against the ground. sun long set, the full moon dimly illuminates the dark night.
you and jisung are sitting in the trunk of your car, the door open so you can watch the rain. jisung hums along to a song you can’t quite place while he fiddles with your intertwined fingers.
“have you told you parents about me?” you ask, keeping your voice soft, not wanting to ruin the quiet atmosphere. jisung nods.
“have you told you parents about me?” you ask, keeping your voice soft, not wanting to ruin the quiet atmosphere. jisung nods.
“mm, yeah, of course. why wouldn’t i wanna brag about you?”
you chuckle, shaking your head. “dumbass.”
jisung grins. “always for you.”
you roll your eyes, squeezing his hand tightly. “what did they say when you told them?”
“they were surprised,” jisung recounts. “i haven’t dated anyone in a while, and everyone i have dated they’d already met long before we started.”
you nod in understanding. “ah, yeah, that makes sense. but they weren’t, like, mad or anything, right?”
jisung shakes his head. “no, of course not. why? were you worried?”
“a little bit.” you can feel the heat in your cheeks as you admit it. jisung laughs and leans his head on your shoulder.
“you’re cute.”
“shut up,” you mumble. jisung laughs again. quiet settles over the two of you again, the sound of the rain creating a hushed tranquility.
“it’s getting pretty late,” jisung says after a moment.
“yeah,” you reply, squeezing his hand a bit tighter. “we should probably get you home.”
“probably.” jisung nuzzles his face into your neck. you turn to press a kiss to the top of his hair, and jisung hums contentedly.
“let’s get going.” you stand up, tugging jisung to his feet as well.
“just a little longer?” he whines, and you laugh, your hand coming up to brush his bangs away from his face.
“i’m driving you home, dummy,” you remind him.
“i know, but…” he pulls you close by your waist. “i just miss you, i guess.“
you smile, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “simp.”
jisung laughs loudly, resting his forehead against yours. “always for you.”
and you roll your eyes again, smile never leaving your face.
“tell you what,” you say. jisung tilts his head. “why don’t we go try and convince my parents to let you stay the night?”
jisung giggles, placing his hands on either side of your face. “yes please.”
and then he leans in, kissing you softly, gently, lovingly. you can’t help but smile, holding jisung close as the rain continues to fall around you.
“c’mon,” you mumble against his lips. “let’s get inside.”
“sounds good to me,” jisung replies, kissing you one last time.
the two of you chuckle as you step out into the rain, and you pause to close the trunk of your car before jisung grabs your hand and runs for the front door, laughing the whole way.
you shush him as soon as you get inside, both of you still giggling under your breath. “you’re ridiculous,” you whisper. jisung grins.
“always for you.”
you laugh, toeing off your shoes and shucking off your windbreaker. “absolutely ridiculous.”
“you love me,” jisung declares. you shake your head and press a chaste kiss to his lips.
“that i do.”
jisung’s grin shines in your dimly lit living room. you lace your fingers together, tugging him further inside.
“come on, stupid.”
“what happened to convincing your parents first?” jisung teases, letting you pull him through the house to your bedroom.
“they’re fast asleep already, and i’m tired,” you respond as you shuffle through your closet to find some spare clothes for jisung. “don’t tell me you want me to wake my mom up just to ask her if you can stay.”
you chuckle, handing jisung a pair of sweatpants and a shirt that’s definitely actually his. “she doesn’t hate you, ji.”
“i don’t know, i’m pretty sure she does.”
“please, you’re, like, her favourite child.”
jisung giggles, pulling you close. “okay, yeah, she does like me more than you.”
you make an indignant noise, slapping jisung lightly on the arm. he yelps, hitting you back instinctually.
“ow!” you complain.
“serves you right!” he retorts, and you can’t help but laugh at his righteous expression.
“sorry, you big baby,” you say, and he huffs. “i’m gonna get changed. do you mind changing in here, or do you wanna change in the bathroom?”
“here’s fine,” jisung answers, and then his playful grin is back. “no peeking!”
you laugh, shoving him away. “idiot.”
“always for you!” he sing-songs, and you roll your eyes for what feels like the millionth time tonight.
“get changed, dumbass.”
you finish changing before him, sitting down on your bed and plugging in your phone. jisung makes a remark about how your sweatpants are too big for him, and you reply that that’s because he has literally no waist, which makes him laugh.
“are you done yet?” you complain, already underneath the covers. rather than responding, jisung simply dives into bed next to you, and you laugh, scooting over to make more room.
the two of you get comfortable, your arms draped around his tiny waist, his hands playing with your hair as you listen to the steady thump-thump-thump if his heartbeat.
“i love you,” you mumble, eyes fluttering shut. he traces his fingers across your cheek, softly kissing your forehead.
