I have to get this off my chest. It’s been bothering me a bit. Luckily I think most people in the tags I’ve visited seem to understand this but I still feel the need to say it.

I make a ton of jokes about EJ sucking but I just want young people out there to know: if your partner starts doing the stuff EJ does, it’s time to hightail out of there. There’s no “they’re just jealous” or “they’ll grow out of it” or “they’re sorry.” Nope. Get out. Most abusive relationships start out this way and they can end very tragically. Regardless of whether or not this character changes and actually redeems himself or doesn’t go past the horrible stuff he’s already done, this doesn’t translate to real life and you shouldn’t jeopardize yourself for the slim possibility. You’re not going to change them, so please just leave before it starts escalating. They’re going to say they’re sorry, they’re going to say they’ll change, and then they’re not going to. People around them will protect them, they will put the burden of forgiveness on your shoulders, but don’t listen. I know it’s really hard but always look out for you.

Listen I ship Ricky and Nini and everything but in my heart of hearts I know I want the true love story to be a kid that finds a passion for theater and performing and the unconditional family that can be built there

And acting can teach so much about opening up and being vulnerable and understanding yourself and I think it helps people grow emotionally and idk!!! I want it

Simon left his whole life in Mexico to go live in Argentina and be with Luna and when he wanted to go back all she said was that his life was in Argentina now and that she needs him and there’s other ways to have their country present in their lives and honestly it was very sweet and all but like did she forget Simon’s family is in Mexico or?

listen i understand that losing your sight is a very traumatic thing, but the writers are really out there making a character who is going blind go on a crusade to make sure no books are banned so she could read as many of them as possible before she loses her sight in three months like audio books and braille don’t exist? very weird to hear something so ignorant from a girl whose grandma is blind and she spends a lot of time with, and is also so socially conscious. blind people can still read. like this girl has an opinion about the white patriarchy and how they should bring it down but she apparently doesn’t know that blind people can also read. idk, wouldn’t it have been better for her to fight for more accessibility in the town? it’s not like she has to reveal she’s going blind by doing that. i feel like some of these characters think so small, especially for teenagers in this generation

i feel like sierra burgess was an okay movie from an unbiased standpoint (mostly because the actors elevated that script) but i can’t get past that ridiculous climax, the strange trans and homophobic jokes (what was that about?), the fact that they all forgave her so fast, that she had zero lasting consequences for her awful actions, the fact that her reason for doing something shitty was that she’s not happy with how she looks, and the fact that this bitch had a stable home life and still found a way to whine about it and blame her mom lmao like girl i bet she taught you better than to publish someone’s private messages, go away with that she just wanted you to feel capable of anything
