Photoshop Mixer Brush Sampling Technique
In this week’s photoshop tutorial I’m going to show you how to use the Photoshop mixer brush tool in a unique way. Using an image sampling technique in the Photoshop mixer brush tool to create a 3D text effect. This technique produces interesting and unique shapes and brushes. You can do this without touching your brush settings or changing your brush. If you’ve never worked with the mixer brush in this way, you are in for a game-changing experience.
Now for some vegetation. In the Walid Feghali’s tutorial for this, I actually learned about a very interesting photoshop tool called “mixer brush” with which you can obtain some fantastic textures.
Not particularly happy with the grass in the bottom picture, but still learning.

HAS ANYONE SEEN OR DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I COULD GET A PHOTOSHOP TOOL PRESET NAMED “FIZZY MIXER”? It was a mixer brush (not smudge, mixer), 56px, and it did such an AMAZING job of evening out gradients and blending one colour into another. Nothing else comes close!!
Photoshop’s update about two months ago wiped both my brush and tool preset libraries clean, and I’m not the only one considerably hacked off by it.
BUT I thought I had everything backed up. I ALWAYS back up brushes and tools.
But no.
One of the two brushes I use and love MOST IN THE COSMOS is simply GONE. I can’t even find it on Google - it’s like it never existed!!!!! Am I the only person in the world who ever had it??!?
I feel like making a “missing” poster. Maybe I should!!
I have gone to the ends of the interwebs looking for it and... no luck.

HELP.
So I discovered the Mixer Brush in Photoshop. I feel stupid for not knowing about it earlier. I reckon it works wonders!
