after Trolls: Holiday in Harmony

most kisses are initiated by poppy, so when branch gets to do it first it's an immediate 100% critical hit on poppy. branch needs to hype himself up internally because he gets flustered overthinking things too much. his success rate at initiating kisses is much higher when he's swept up in the moment!

i keep noticing branch likes to step in front of poppy all defensive when he thinks there's incoming danger.

she acts cool but she's totally smitten everytime she thinks about it afterwards heh

first invitation

my headcanon of when poppy started 'pestering' branch with her invitations. i imagine this is when she's 4 and he's 6 or 7?

poppy stops following him around whenever she wanted to give her invitation cards, and would instead leave most of them on the 'go away' mat (except for when they cross paths before she gets the chance to, which is what i imagined is what happened in trolls 1).

branch starts hanging around near where poppy and her friends are after this. still grumpy and really only there to rain on their parade, but mostly also to be close to poppy.
