Someone Get the Bucket! | Haru
It had been a rather quiet day today.
Not that Honoka minded, though. Especially not after the busy week they'd had earlier, what with Valentine's Day and people from all over town, tourists and inhabitants alike, going crazy with trying to find the perfect gift - most of which seemed to be flowers - for their signifiant other or crush.
It was great for business, certainly, though perhaps not so much for them.
He still felt exhausted just thinking about it.
Raising his arms above his head, he stretched, pleased hum sounding from his lips at the light crick from his back. As much fun as it was to stand behind the register, it made him feel stiff beyond belief and he much preferred walking around the shop and taking care of the flowers. And, with how few people there were inside Belle Fleurs at the moment, this was as good a chance as any to do just that.
Grin curling at the corners of his mouth, the brunette swiftly headed over to the faucet to fill up the green watering can they kept there. Haru hadn't watered the plants yet, right? Not as far as Honoka could remember, although, perhaps checking the soil first would be best. He didn't want to end up drowning the little things, after all.
Humming idly under his breath, he curled his fingers around the handle, smoothly and familiarly turning it - though he paused, just for a moment, at the strangely high pitched sound coming from the pipe, only to dismiss it with a small shake of his head a second later. It had been making that noise for ages, but nothing seemed to actually be wrong with it, as far as they could tell. Maybe--
--A strangled, blubbering yelp of pure shock tore from Honoka's throat, effectively interrupting whatever he'd been thinking about as the pipe burst, blasting water right in his face, on his clothes and all over the floor.
"Haru!" he cried out, snapping out of the shock and swiftly, desperately throwing his apron off, pressing it against the pipe with one hand in a futile attempt to stop the water. "Bucket, get a-- m-mop, something, Haru, help!"
