My opinion is after the break:

100% it was!! I totally think that Thomas Astruc has it out for Adrien. I mean, any time someone tries to complain about his unfair treatment as a should-be-main-character, he calls them misogynistic! And we know this dude is capable of completely changing a character or their story arc, we've seen it with Chloe! Now, do I think the show can come back from where they have Adrien's character now? Yes, I believe so. However, that would require some good writing, so I don't think it will happen. Plus, Astruc and the writing team have pm admitted that they don't see him as a main character so... yeah.

I will never not be petty about the way Adrien's character has been treated starting in season 3. He's always been my favorite character and he probably always will be, no matter how hard the writers work at making him not matter to the show at all.
