Phineas and Ferb season 5 episode 1 part 2 (that's a mouthful) mild spoilers.

Okay so that bit with Isabella calling Linda her "future mother in law" was great, but it made me realize something.

So like, upon hearing her say that, my first thought was "I know you're super into Phineas, but this feels oddly presumptuous of you," before I realized she knows that she ends up marrying Phineas (or Ferb) because she heard Candace's future daughter say she looked like her "Aunt Isabella".

I feel like that's a wild bit of information that nobody seems to bring up. It just feels interesting on an existential level.

I feel like Phineas and Ferb exists in this weird space where the actual fandom for it is tiny but the show itself is such a beloved classic that, as long it's somewhat funny and not ship art, any PnF post you make has the potential to randomly break containment.

It's a little anxiety inducing tbh.

This is a weird thing but does anyone else feel like Candace/Heinz's therapist looks more like a Milo Murphy's Law character than a Phineas and Ferb character?

I know it's the same universe (along with Hamster and Gretel) but I just feel like MML has a slightly different aesthetic. Maybe it's the colors? MML has always felt a bit less saturated to me. And also maybe like it leaned more toward warmer colors.

I think one of my favorite aspects of Phineas and Ferb is that the entire cast is a perfect example of the One Degree of Separation trope.

By it's very nature, I literally can't state how many connections each character has to each other or I'd be here all day, but it's wild.

I will talk about my favorite little example of it, though. So, Stacy knows Perry's secret identity thanks to a technicality stopping her from getting mind wiped after seeing him in action. That on it's own is funny, but she's also friends with Candace (Perry's owner who he needs to hide his identity from) and Vanessa (who also knows his identity as he fights her dad), which is hilarious. In this trio of teen girls only Candace doesn't know that her pet is a secret agent.

I'd already heard that Buford was going to have a Candace suit before getting to that episode and frankly, I wasn't surprised because everyone (even Linda) already knows he has life-sized molds of people, including specifically Candace. I'm happy that they brought that up in the actual episode because yeah, pretty relevant.

So I just watched the season 5 title sequence and like...

The animation seems the same besides the fact that they freaking added in the two new stripes to his shirt.

Something about that is hilarious to me.
