Allister and death are a weird subject because on one hand he does find the idea of dying kinda scary, but on the other hand he also just considers it kinda normal. He’s used to seeing dead pokemon (some that were even humans in a former life- how miserable at times honestly), so it’s just a bit of moving from one stage to the next. 

It’s not even really dying that is the spooky part. Of course, it can be creepy or abnormal to be taken too soon- or the idea of someone doing it to you... but that’s not really scary to Alli. If anything it’s kind of exciting in a weird way, to never know when you’ll get to move on to the next life. A whole new world that you might be able to see just like that. It’s a bit why he can take horror (for the most part) so well. Getting ur head exploded is a lot cooler than dying in your sleep- even if to most other people that would be downright horrifying.

The fear comes more from the fact you’re separate from everyone you love. The idea that even though you could be right next to someone you cared about- they would never see you. They would be terrified of you, and that’s what makes Alli afraid. He’s afraid of being alone- just like his nightmares all those years ago. 

In a way... maybe that’s why he talks to ghosts. To give them a friend, so they won’t be so lonely... like he was back then too...
