Her brow furrows slightly, a touch of concern in her eyes. Despite her best efforts to keep the younger agents at arm’s length, over the years she has somehow come to care for them more than she likes to admit, and seeing Bo so tired worries her. She shakes her head softly as the answer comes. Melinda is hardly a person who sleeps a lot, often finding herself up late for one reason or another and then routinely rising at five to start her day off with tai-chi, but sunrise? That was far too late to be going to bed, especially when SHIELD life doesn’t exactly allow for sleeping in.

As the girl goes on to explain why, sympathy enters her expression, one corner of her lips twisting upwards a fraction. She knows only too well what it is like to be kept awake by ghosts, though hers exist only in her mind. She doesn’t have Bo’s ability to see the ghosts themselves, and for that she can only be grateful, though she wishes there was some way for her to make things easier for the girl.

“Do you think it will?” She tilts her head to one side a little as she speaks. “Is it just… there, or do you think it wants something?”
