I’m letting you all inside my brain a little bit for this one.
It’s very simple and very self indulgent. But pretty much. It’s cartoon g1 except modern day (2024-25 now I guess) and nobody died. The war is over. Rebuilding is happening on cybertron but it doesn’t happen overnight, and most cybertronians are displaced on many different planets. Earth had its well known moments during the war, but it’s mostly been forgotten for new exciting interstellar places and peoples. Earthlings remember the giant alien space war sort of, the public wasn’t privy to the details as much as the main humans, so yeah people remember it, but they mostly see it as a historical event (slash conspiracy theory, in some cases). Yeah it happened but thankfully it’s over and the robots all left.
Just kidding there are still robots here :) there are little research pockets all over earth, and the main one where my characters interact is a teeny underground base deep in the appalachian mountains. Wheeljack has settled there, and for the time being, worn out from the war, and taking an interest in exosociology/exoanthropology, has decided to teach a class called Earth Studies. (i plan on invoking the Big Names of transformers very very seldom, so we won’t see a lot of Wheeljack, and he’s about as far up the chain as i’m planning on going. I mostly wanna play around with my little guys.)
Speaking of them :) i will try to put as many here as i can remember
Greenwire (he/him): my main guy. An explosives specialist (and therefore fan of Wheeljack’s), he gets the opportunity to make the trip to Earth and takes it immediately. Upon arrival, unfortunately, when he scans an Earth vehicle something goes wrong. He’s healthy, he can transform, but he can’t drive.
Laurie (they/them): human. It’s their car Greenwire scans, and since he ruined their car Laurie no longer has a car and Greenwire can’t drive around himself, they form this symbiotic relationship where they both are each other’s ride. They’re a recent college dropout twentysomething resident of appalachia working a terrible food service job.

Asphalt (he/him): steamroller, but a small one. goes by Ass. he thinks this is funny. the pictures are so teeny halp-
Lever (she/her): no picture, she has been written (unfinished wips) but not drawn yet. Large silver cybertronian shuttle. She, Greenwire, and Asphalt come to Earth at the same time. here's a picture from the wiki of space shuttle
Tucson (he/him): new Earth alt, new Earth name. He just likes the sound of it. Laid back, charming, and attractive. He is forging a new path in life: after countless millennia he has decided to make the switch to medicine. Shadowing the Doc.
The Doc (he/?idk): mysterious figure. Barely leaves his office. Nobody knows his name. (idk I needed a doctor character for a wip and couldn’t think of a name slkjdfldj)
