My Christmas #frankendress all finished ready for Christmas Day. Inspired by a dress Charlotte wore on the @bettymagazine blog. It’s the bodice & sleeve of #mnsudley & the cuff from #mndove by @megannielsenpatterns & the lower half & ruffle from the #roscoedress by @truebias fabric from Leon’s in Chorlton, Manchester. Saw a red velvet dress on @bettymagazine blog & decided to copy it. Done a trial run with cotton & I’m so excited it’s turned out amazing. I used @megannielsenpatterns #mnsudley bodice & sleeve & #mndove cuff, then the lover part of @truebias #roscoe dress & ruffle. Love this dress already & can’t wait to cut the velvet out on Monday!
Another @megannielsenpatterns #mnsudley completed. Again I bound the neck so I could put side seam pockets in again, but no collar this time.
Saw a dress in an independent shop in Manchester's Northern Quarter & fell in love with it, but it was basically a @megannielsenpatterns #mnsudley in a mustard cord. When I saw this cord fabric at Leon's Chorlton, I knew it would be perfect. I didn't line it as I wanted side seam pockets. I'm so, so pleased with this.. Just ready for my trip back 'home' to London. 😻
