Pt 1
"Whatever you do, be careful. It's completely feral. It's not a lick of sense in'em but smart as a whip." The man says.
Logan scoffs because he already knows.
"Him."
"What?"
"It's a Him."
"How do you know?"
"Oooh trust me.. we go back a loonng time.. been trying to catch this menace for almost 2 decades now." He wanted to say centuries, but even he wasn't that dumb.
Logan had met the creature long ago as a child. His mother took him to the lake to play when he spotted a bright red fin jumping deep into the water. "H-hello?" He had asked, merely a wee boy. Not even old enough to have his claws yet.
The thing that stared back had such large, beautiful amber eyes, glossy and full like frog eggs willed with apricot jelly that shimmered in the sun.
The thing had hid his ears, making a sharp chirp at him, puffing up as if scared of James but the tiny frail boy did no such thing to harm it. No, that creature was the most beautiful thing he's ever saw, and since he was a lad he's been trying to see him- catch him again- hoping deep down he would remember him and talk to him again.
"What's your name?" He asked, stepping deeper into the lake, but the critters eyes widdened, rushing forward to push him back, such worried and concerned eyes as James landed on his tush in the sandy water. His mother had warned him plenty about water drop offs but never creatures like him that sparkled with each light that glided over his scales.
"Ouch!"
"Sorry!" he makes another fish noise, dipping down deeper into the murky waters.
James' eyes had never been so big. "You can talk?"
The creature tilts his head, curious. "You can talk?"
"Hey!"
"Hey."
"Stop that!"
"Stop-... Sorry."
"No, it's okay. You were just scared."
"Scared." He repeats, the large spikey fin on his back going down as his webbed fingers make small waves in the water.
"Yeah... you like wading in the water?" That young boy asks, only bouta year older then the creature. "What's your name anyway?"
"Name?"
"Yeah. Your name. Do you have a name, or do you just wade through the muck all day and not have to go to school?" James smiles, chuckling a bit. At the time, James was quite jealous that the creature didn't have any studies to attend to and got to play in the lake all summer, not understanding that he had to stay there for this dark dirty water was his home.
"Wade?"
"Okay, Wade! My name is James."

Wild LotR + Hobbit AU #3
All the books, but written in the style of Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. AKA: An entire chapter on the whiteness of the Arkenstone or the goldness of the ring, one very short chapter of just a character saying “um um um” while drinking, a 25-page sidenote all about each race of Middle Earth... Let’s face it, though, The Hobbit is basically the plot of Moby Dick.......
Moby dick au Except its monster fucker.
James meets a small creature in his childhood and spends 200 years trying to catch the thing. Within those 200 years they have been on and off as friends, sworn enemies, soulmates, and even worse.
Logan has journals upon journals filled with sketches and writings, a sightings log even about this damn sea creature (siren wade) and has suspected him of maming roughly 500 people, drowning them and devouring their bodies.
Not only is wade eating his crew and purposly hunting them, he destroys their netting, stole their fish, released large catches, broke their fishing equipment, put holes in the boat multiple times and once, Logan has even harpooned him but Wade still lived.
He's obsessed with him, pissed off and he talks about him the way the joker talks about batman, passionate and impressed with his intelligence and beauty but GOD he wants to wring his neck so bad. After finally catching him to the point Wade cant escape, he feels... guilt.
He wanted to catch him this entire time and wasted his whole life trying to do it. Some cabin members assumed Logan had a weird fetish and wanted the fish for himself like an exotic pet. Others thought logan wanted to eat wade or sell him for an extremely high price, but theyre all wrong. He does want wade for himself.. but as a lover.
He's down bad for that finned fuck and now that logan has him right where he wants him? He has no clue what to do with him. If he lets him go wade will just leave. If he keeps him chained up wade will hate him forever. So what does he do? He cant kill him.... but he can fuck him!
