this exactly, like yea as seemingly harmless as the original content might be, it isnt completely free from it's errors and questionable problems and mistakes, but no one in the fandom deserves harassment like this

i dont know the extent of the harassment (or even what sparked all this) do u know whats goin on? i only just saw a bunch of posts on my dash saying to avoid the dub and only watch the sub/read the comics because they aren’t offensive; which is essentially glossing over and/or flat out erasing a lot of the issues that fans and non-fans alike had with the source material

mmm one of my favorites to tell (that's been voted as cute) was the time that me and all the neighborhood kids were convinced a hobo lived in the "woods" by our apartments (they werent woods, just trees dividing from the highway) so we got all the dads to go and investigate for us (there was no hobo)
