12 Days of Spones Interest Check

I didn’t know how to title this so I figured this title would be the best way to get y’all’s attention.

So, a couple of years ago, we ran an event called 12 Days of Spones -- a tweleve day long winter themed event in which anyone can create fanworks around Spock & McCoy. Headcanons, meta, fanart, videos, fanfic, graphics, fanmixes/playlists, gifs, any fanworks really.

I’ve already typed up most of the info post and made a graphic, so the event is coming back for sure, but I was wondering about how y’all would prefer the event to be run.

I have already a list of prompts/ideas/themes (since it is technically a Winter Event) ready to go but the last time I ran this, I put a theme/idea for each day of the event. (For example it was like Day 1: First Theme here, Day 2: Second theme here, etc.)

Would y’all like a schedule (plus a reminder post for each day?) or would y’all  rather have the prompts/ideas/themes listed in the promo post and y’all could pick and choose which one of those to do on whatever day of the event?

(Also the prompts/themes/ideas are more suggestions and also to help people get inspired; the goal of the event really is just to create more Spones fanworks).

It’s 1:30 AM where I’m at currently, so I have no idea if anyone will see this, but after talking with @bearsinpotatosacks, I’m curious how many other Spones fans have December birthdays?

Mine passed a few days ago, but I’m curious to this phenomenon coz I know a lot of Spones fans with December birthdays so I just want to know if it’s just a coincidence on my part or could there be something to it?

So I check the tags for content to reblog right? And yeah, we’ve seen the ‘sponges’ for spones typo on google search posts but... this. This post showing up from a bot in the tags takes the cake lmao at least I think it’s a bot

When are we getting the survey results??? 😮

Hallo! I calculated the results the other day but I’ve been really tired lately that I’ve been trying to rest up on sleep! Also been debating if I should put up the top ten results or just the top five.

Anyways, I hope you can wait a bit longer because I want to make a proper post about it. But thank you for asking!

You can still send in 12 Days of Spones stuff til the end of the month...

I know the holiday season has made some people really busy, so to keep on bringing some Spones to lighten our days, to those who wanted to participate but didn’t/couldn’t, or those who finished stuff but didn't’ post in time, you can still do so til December 31st and we’ll reblog and share it and post it!

Also, I ( @logicheartsoul ) have a few headcanons that I didn’t get to finish due to the holiday rush so you’ll also see that on your dashes soon.

What better way to countdown to the new year than with more Spones? So don’t hesitate to send things in, even if you did one thing or made several things. It’s all Spones, and we’ll love it anyway. ;D

Upcoming Spones event...

So @demidani and I ( @logicheartsoul ) are coming up with a Winter themed event. It’s still in the works and a more formal announcement will follow later but we would like your suggestions on what you would like to see in terms of winter and/or holiday themes that could be covered by this event. Spones related content dealing with winter foods? Spones and holiday memories? Spones dealing with snow?

The list can go on and on, but leave us a message, we’ll be taking ideas and suggestions all week!

I can say the event will go on til at least the last half of the month, so those who are going through finals and other obligations right now, there’s still plenty of time to participate and plan, so you won’t have to worry about anything at the moment.
