i mean I get why Airi was picked (cos she's got big boobs) but I feel like the main anime characters would be more popular and would therefore have more fans?? aka more people wanting their SSRs?? was hoping for a different character haha

Contrary to her background role in the anime, Airi is actually a very popular character.  The standard mobage Cinderella Girls game actually runs a poll every year for “Cinderella Girl”, the most popular of the characters (and recently it’s been used to get unvoiced girls high votes so that they can get a voice.) Airi actually won the very first Cinderella Girl election, so honestly it’s not surprising at all that she was the ssr they went with. I mean she basically won the first “best girl” election. (This first election I’m referring to also took place before much of any of the girls had voices and the anime wasn’t even an idea at that point.) I’d imagine for long-time fans, it’s very meaningful for Airi to get a Cinfest card like this.

The ship name for Zane/Ryou x Jesse/Johan is tealshipping. Named so for their similarly colored hair.

Thinking about doing an Evangelion rewatch soon

Gunna do a weird order with the rebuild movies inserted between episodes to see what I catch this time.

Plans are to include screenshots, write-ups and thoughts (maybe drawings for each episode if I feel creative)

Anything else you would like to see from this rewatch?

Early morning thoughts

Netflix will be an interesting new platform for Evangelion

Will people take Shinji's perspective at face value even though he is shown to be an unreliable narrator?

The biggest problem I can see people having is binging Eva when it is meant to be watched in bits to be digested (not saying you can't binge it just saying I could not/ I think it is easier for analysis this way)

I hope people don't make awful hate posts about the characters I love (they will)
