It depends on the type of theme tbh.
For more complicated times I really like valkyrie by descarriado (( x )), it’s really nice and wide and it looks really good. I’ve been using it for all the blogs I care to keep active tbh. Really good as well if you’re just starting with container themes.
I’m real lazy though so I also tend to use #33 // purpose by cathms (( x )) a lot. Intelligentsia by pohroro (( x )) is really good too, minimum editing around to none required to make it very good for roleplayers.
khruseos’ themes (( x )) are all pretty popular and they’re really nice too. I don’t use them much because personally, they’re not my thing and I find them easy to customize to my style, but I seriously recommend them.
ketterdam by reysfalcon (( x )) is something I haven’t used but it looks real good, you could slap a few fancied up fonts on that and make it real cool.
I used to use vielenes // jenesis’ themes a lot too but they deleted (( i think )) ?? so there’s that.
