to kiyotaka and/or mondo. i have to go back to in person school soon and im feeling really anxious about it, im an alternative queer guy living in a conservative town and school tends to be a really negative environment for me, so much so that just walking through the hallways tends to make me anxious and i know it'll be a difficult transition from virtual to in person especially now that we're halfway through the year. some encouragement/advice would be much appreciated.

That’s not good at all! You shouldn’t be feeling negative emotions at school, school is a place for you to learn and educate yourself.. Nevertheless, I am familiar with the concept that not everyone enjoys it. 

But still anonymous, allow me to try and motivate you! I understand the anxious feeling, that is perfectly valid, there is no need to feel bad about it. 

The advice I can provide you is to keep your head held high, keep in mind that although the transition from virtual to in person will be challenging, you will grow accustomed to it in due time. It won’t feel normal automatically but I believe in you and I know you can push through this anonymous! As my bro would put it, you walk down those halls and kick some a- ...some a- ...some a- I can’t say that word..

Do your best and good luck on your educational crusade!

Yeah, anon, I agree with what my bro says. I also think that it's really fucking stupid of your town. It's super not cool that you have to go to school, especially with all the shitty stuff happening.

Even though it will be hard to go back, I know you can do it. You've managed to survive in your hellhole of a town for a while, I know you can do it. You're really fucking strong, anon, and if any of those little goddamn pricks messes with you, you should ask for help, because no one should deal with this stuff alone.

You’ve been looking at him an awful lot today, Connor’s noticed. Staring for a few seconds before looking away again, sometimes parting your lips to speak and then pursing them. He continues to work, waiting for you to approach him, as you always did; but it seems like you would break your habit today.

So, when the end of the day rolls around and you still haven’t talked to him, he’s worried, and he moves to catch you on the way to the elevator. Calling for you to hold it for him, he walks in next to you.

“Hey Connor, I thought you were staying late tonight?” You smile at him, but there’s a certain apprehension to your body. Instead of turning to him, you stare at him from the corner of your eye, head tilted downwards. You’re hands are clasped together in front of you, and his brow furrows at your odd behavior.

“I was, but I wanted to make sure you were well.” At your confused glance, he continues, “You’ve been staring.”

Your eyes widen and your hands tighten, you turn to face him and there’s a strong flush to your cheeks, “I’m really sorry, Connor, I didn’t mean to! I, well…” You trail off.

“I’ve detected an increase in your heart rate; are you well, Detective?” He turns to you fully, “I apologize if I’ve made you uncomfortable.”

You sigh through your nose, avoiding his concerned gaze. As you open your mouth to reply the elevator doors slide open, and you glare at it with down turned lips, “Will you walk with me?”

You ask, exiting the small space, “Unless you’re busy?”

“I have time.” Well, he needed to get a couple of reports in before the end of the day, but that could wait until you said what you needed to.

Connor walks beside you, easily keeping pace as you start talking, “I was wondering if, well, if you’d like to spend some time together, after work.”

“Of course, we often go out with Lieuten- Hank after a case?” He’s confused. Your actions displayed embarrassment, but if that was all, there was no reason to be so flustered.

You stop short, wringing your hands together. You look at him, head down to where your hair covers part of your eyes, “No, I mean… If you’d like to go out with me, just the two of us.” His head tilts, you huff, “Like, on a date.”

Connor’s LED flashes yellow, circling, and his lips part slightly. Just as he’s about to respond, you try to backtrack, “You know what? It’s stupid and I shouldn’t have asked. I hope you don’t think of me any, uh, differently. In fact if you just wanna go, you-”

His hand lands on your shoulder, and he has a small, amused smile as he looks at you, “I’d love to, (Y/n).”

You stare at him, mouth still stuck on your last word and your eyes wide, the tips of your ears have gone pink. You squeak when his brow raises, a sound he makes sure to fie away, “Oh, uh, well. Friday?”

“That seems appropriate.” He stays there for a second, LED flashing, before leaning forward to place his mouth on yours in a chaste, stiff kiss.

He pulls away before you can reciprocate, his cheeks tinged with an artificial flush that you can’t take your eyes off of. He can blush. Of course he can.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, (Y/n).” His hand slips from your shoulder, and he gives you one more bashful grin before stepping away from you.

You break out into a bright, beaming expression that has his processors in shambles, “I’ll see you tomorrow, Connor.”

I’m VERY flirtatious and flirt for fun and almost everyone knows that. Although when some starts to actually fall for me I get terrified and guilty because I act like I’m super sex driven and I put out this persona… when I’m not. I’m demi (possibly ace, I’m unsure) and I feel like this part of me would scare away the person that has feelings for me as soon as they found out. I know it’s not important, but it is to me because itlll keep happening. I want to like them but I dont think I deserve it

I understand where you are coming from here - as grey ace myself I often present a flirty persona and wouldn’t want to actually engage in anything sexual like said flirting would suggest. But I don’t think that revealing that these flirty jokes aren’t reflective of actual desire would scare anyone away- granted everyone is different but most reasonable people I think would be quite accepting that these flirts are not serious and respect that. But anon, I believe everyone is deserving of nice things and that includes you too - you deserve to be happy.

My thoughts on the mistletoe? I think it’s a neat thing to add onto Christmas! Plus, who knows, sometimes you may get a bit lucky and share a kiss with that special someone. 

L-Like Ms. Sonia! You’d have to be very lucky to get a kiss from her. So, what do you say Ms. Sonia...would you want to be under the mistletoe with me this year?

I enjoy mistletoe, as it is quite an adorable tradition. However, I do believe people should only kiss under the mistletoe if they're comfortable with it, as consent is a lot more important than a plant.

Back on Novoselic, there would be mistletoe everywhere, although I haven't been underneath it with anyone yet. Although, this year I wouldn't mind being under it with someone.

Aside being the Ultimate Gamer? 

That’s a tough one Anon, gaming is all I really know but I think I would go with Komaeda’s talent, Ultimate Lucky Student. It’s not too flashy but it definitely would be nice to have luck on my side for a change. He always downplays it as having a bad curse or something, but it’s pretty neat to have good luck....I think.

O-oh everyone has such cool talents I don't know if I could pick one! They're all so amazing and cool!

Hmmm, if I had to just pick one, I would love to be the ultimate aikido master so I could be strong and defend myself! Anyone who can do martial arts is super cool and I wish I was strong enough to do it.

I’m sure a lot of people have gotten their New Years kiss, but not me. A worthless person such as myself isn’t worthy of receiving one. I didn’t have a plan to kiss anyone at midnight, I’m not that lucky.

I can only answer one of your questions, anon. Since it’s only the start of 2021, I’ll answer your second question. 

I was lucky this year, and got a kiss on new years. However, I won’t tell you who it is, because I don’t know if they’ll be okay with me saying who they are.
