This is a bit of a weird ask but I’ve seen it everywhere. Nearly every transformer artist who has commissions open is SEVERELY underpricing themselves! I know there’s difficulty with pricing where if it’s too expensive people complain but if that’s the case then transformers fans, you all need to start being willing to pay your artists better! Mechs are REALLY hard to draw. It’s a huge skill that not a lot of people have, and tf artists are charging less than people who draw humans are!
This is a good conversation to have. Underpricing is a complicated issue, but it’s not something that can be addressed easily.
I agree with this statement. In general, if one is asking oneself ‘should I rise prices’, the answer should pretty much always be yes, but that being said, I also understand that it can be uncomfortable and complicated to do so. Specially if there’s not enough confidence, demand for the work, or whatever factor.
It’s a struggle to rise prices sometimes, but I believe the payoff is worth it 99 out of 100 times.
