Party Drabble
Remember this?
I haven't finished the other thing but I was thinking about it so here's a little drabble with some pairings dancing or doing other things
EDIT: Forgot to clarify before, but the (human) characters are aged up in this. Most (with the exception of Sammi) are at least old enough to drink by U.S. laws

"My hand's supposed to go here?"
"Yep."
"And then I just hold your hand?"
"Yeah, if you're okay with it."
"We should have practiced before we came here," Reiner mumbled, uncomfortable in his suit and awkward in his position. Gary gave a small smile. "Yeah, if we'd expected the unexpected like Terriermon keeps saying."
Reiner scowled for a moment, then sighed. "Shoulda just stayed back at the hotel..."
"Nah, things wouldn't be as fun if we were missing someone," Gary countered, gently nudging him with his foot. Reiner took the hint and began to dance. Well, more shuffle, than dance, letting Gary actually lead. "And we both know Sammi would have dragged you here somehow."
The other chuckled at that, as they continued to shuffle around the polished floors. "Yeah, you're right. It's nice seeing her dance around too. She never got to do that before."
Both took a glance in Sammi's direction, as she dragged a stumbling and laughing Grayson around. A smile crossed their faces as Gary let out a small laugh. "Well, looks like she got Grayson out of his hiding spot."
"Yeah," Reiner chuckled, his eyes shifting from his sister to his dancing partner. Something in his expression seemed to change somewhat, his smile becoming lopsided. "...Seeing her happy isn't the only nice thing, though."
"Oh?" Gary turned back to face him, head tilting. "What's the other thing?"
Reiner glanced away, hints of red entering his face. "...Dancing with you. It's... nice."
Gary blinked, looking at him with wide eyes. Then, he laughed, his smile growing as his cheeks flushed. "Well- It's nice dancing with you, too."

"Ow-"
"Sorry!"
Riot shook his head, more amused than upset. "It's fine. We're kinda terrible at this, aren't we?"
E.R. chuckled, his cheeks pink as he kept his eyes on their feet. "Yeah- You're doing better than I am though."
"I... used to dance with my mom a lot. Not like this, but something similar."
E.R. looked up at him, a bit surprised. Parents were usually a sore subject for his friend, especially his mom. "Really?"
Riot nodded, a small yet strained smile crossing his face. "It's... one of the few memories I have of her. Before she..."
He didn't finish, and E.R. didn't push it. Instead, he just gently squeezed the other's hand as they continued to dance in silence. Everyone else talked around them - Talked about them, too. Both of them could feel the eyes that followed the entire group, human and Digimon - when E.R. suddenly stopped. Riot looked at him, confused, as E.R. pulled away from their dancing position.
He didn't let go of his hand though, giving Riot a sly grin. "Wanna go somewhere?"
"'Somewhere'?" he repeated, raising an amused eyebrow. E.R. nodded, his eyes lit up, excited. Riot hummed, meeting his partner's gaze. A smile broke out on his face - He adored that look. He shrugged, gently squeezing E.R.'s hand.
"Sure. Lead the way."

Agunimon and Duskmon both declined from dancing, though they were asked many, many times. Instead, they just lingered on the balcony above, keeping an eye on their partners and friends.
Duskmon leaned against the railing, his expression somewhat bored as he watched the people down below. Agunimon leaned back against the wall, eyes on Duskmon's back. The dark digimon felt the gaze, some of his eyes shifting to look at his rival.
"Enjoy the view?" he asked, voice dripping with sarcasm and amusement. The flame warrior huffed, resisting the urge to grin. "Just wonderin' why you chose to stay up here. A lot of mons wanted to dance with ya."
"... Wasn't interested," was the response, as the eyes shifted back. "What about you? Mons were asking you to dance as well."
Agunimon shrugged. "Dancin' ain't my strong suit."
"Clearly not."
"Hey."
"You're not saying I'm wrong."
"I'm not saying you're right either, Edge."
The two exchanged glares, grins growing on their faces, before Agunimon laughed. "Man, you're always riling me up. 'm all restless now."
Duskmon chuckled. "What, do you want me to do something about it?"
The warrior hummed, then nodded. "Yeah, I do actually. Let's go spar."
"What, now? Here?"
"Well, maybe not here. CJ'd probably kill us. But yeah, now."
Agunimon grinned, outstretching his hand to his rival. "It'll be our own little dance."
Duskmon looked down at the hand, then up at Agunimon. He huffed, taking the hand. "Not like there is anything better to do here. But don't complain once I win."
"We'll see about that."
