I'm just starting to write Rexsoka and I was wondering where I can find open prompts and challenges?

I don’t really have a good resource for prompts, but I have some suggestions. I also have a discord (there’s a link somewhere on this blog. It’s tagged with dicord or something but I don’t wanna risk closing this as to look for it. Tumblr has eaten asks before if I close them without answering. If you can’t find it, feel free to DM me or ask again for an invite link.) there’s a prompt exchange channel on there.

You could also do the rexsoka week prompts if you want to? Rexsoka week is over but nothing is stopping you from doing them anyway and I’m sure people would appreciate the extra content (it’s also how I started writing)

I could also give you some prompts. They are fairly generic but they’re tropes I personally think you can never get enough of

Anakin finds out they’re together

One of them thinks the other is dead

Okay so it’s been a long time since I’ve posted because I’m out of spoons most of the time, but I figured I should probably share how I (mod Tabby) started shipping it since mod grace already made one

I had finished watching the whole Clone wars and was just looking around on YouTube, and I came across a speculative video about what would happen if Anakin never fell in love with Padmé. I don’t remember the rest of it, but he eventually ended up with Ahsoka. And that just kinda felt wrong to me. They feel way to much like sibling to me to ship them, you know? But I did like the idea of Ahsoka having someone special because she deserves it and she’s also a character who I really relate too

So I just started looking at the options and comparing them. Lux has already ruined it imo because he choose Steela and didn’t even have the decency to talk it out with her. Also it seemed more like a minor crush than a meaningful bond

Barriss was not really an option either. Without going into too much detail, the friendship between them reminds me of a straight female friend who I kinda clung to when we were the only two girls (mostly because I wanted to avoid the sausage fest that never actually happened)

So eventually I came across a fanfic (I recently found it again, it’s called chessboard and it’s on one of the last pages of AO3 in the rexsoka tag) in which Rex refused to follow order 66 and I figured that yes. That’s what she deserves. That amount of love and loyalty. Sadly, that’s not gonna happen because she left the Jedi order and Rex was probably killed and replaced by a stormtrooper after order 66. Just like the other clones. So I got sad and continued watching season 1 of rebels to fill the void that the clone wars had left

And then Ahsoka came back. And then she sent the rebels to find Rex. And then Rex confirmed that he did actually did refuse to kill Ahsoka. Also he’s still pretty hot for a 56 year old lol And then they hugged and like... yes?

I'm just kinda new here to Tumblr, made my account yesterday. And I wanted to find other people who love Rex (and Ahsoka) like me. What made you officially ship Rexsoka?

A fic that had Rex refuse order 66 got me to consider the ship (ironic since that’s what’s gonna happen in today’s episode), but then the hug in rebels kind of sealed the deal for me. That, and just how respectful they both are to each other
