DLG Fashion Rambles: Sport Lux

GP proving sportswear can be just as stylish when chilling at a food festival as it is while you’re sweating it out on the treadmill. Not that I’ve ever ran on a treadmill more than once in my life and that was only because a doctor told me to so he could run some tests on my lung capacity.

While I can’t actually do anything at all in the way of exercise (doctors orders, it’s a long story), I do still love to indulge in the world of fitness wear and pretend I’m at least somewhat sporty. I blame that on Genevieve entirely and the fact that she looks always so awesome in all her Lululemon get up no matter where she’s wearing them. And despite my indulgence being completely impractical for my lifestyle, whenever I venture into a Nike store and accidentally leave with a new pair of ‘compress dry-fit super breathable extra muscle support yada yada’ running tights that I have no real practical use for, I do still feel awesome and oddly motivated.

For those of you who do partake in the occasional run or trip the gym or game of football like Genevieve and are looking for some workout wardrobe inspiration, look no further. Gen typically keeps things monochrome, sticking to mostly black and grey, then she adds splashes of colour with her trainers and/or accessories. And to the ladies such as myself who can’t workout but you’d still like to be faux sporty, skip the sports bras and sweatbands and rock the look anyway.

Let me know if you’d like more in this ‘series’. This was quite a spur of the moment thing after I made the edits. I usually keep my words brief and not too personal on DLG but call me Chatty Cathy tonight because I started writing and couldn’t shut myself up.
