Nihao from Shanghai! Topic 1:FOOD

Recently I traveled to Shanghai for modeling and I had some time to get used to this city and this model market. And I decided to describe the most important topic for models and everybody else:FOOD :DDD To be honest, from the beginning I wanted to cook by myself all the time I'll be here but when I saw the kitchen in our model apartment I was so scared to do anything here. Exactly that's why I started to look for the places where I can have a good meal. Here's the list of places I've found with my remarks: 1. Pine Tree House This European cuisine cafe is situated in 2 mins of our appartament. The prices are incredibly low. The quality of food is extremely high. Also they have good WiFi inside and free delivery. You just order in English via wechat and then they'll bring you the food. I really like this place My mark 10 of 10 2. Pizza Hut I think everybody knows this huge brand, but I need to warn you it's Chinese version of it and you should be ready for this. It's still European cuisine but with a little part of Chinese one. The quality is so so. But still there are good dishes, for example lasagna Bolognese. My mark 6 of 10 3. YOSHINOYA It's Japanese fast food restaurant. Here are a huge choice of rice with different dressings, sauces, meet and vegetables. I've never thought that I'll like the Asian food but this one is amazing. You can choose a lot of not spicy food. It's really good, but there are difficulties with choosing and ordering because they don't have English menu. My mark 8 of 10 4. STARBUCKS COFFEE And again the huge brand. I have to say that Starbucks Coffee is the best coffee in China. And their snacks are really good. My favorite is Caesar's wrap. If I could I would drink their coffee with their muffins and cakes everyday and even more. My mark 10 of 10. 5. Ready food in such shops as Family mart and Seven-eleven When you have more than 8 castings during the day and you don't have time for lunch somewhere ready food in this shops it's the only one option. It's not so good for your health and shape but if you're starving you'll eat this. I don't like this type of lunch. My mark 4 of 10 6. Small Chinese food cafes You will never know what you'll get here. They are unpredictable and don't understand English at all. Once we had lunch near kind of patrol station and there were only Chinese small cafés, we decided to try to order something here. We showed on dumplings in menu and to be honest they were OK, not like Russian ones, but still. The weird thing was that they gave soya sause with vinegar to dumplings. I wish it was usual soya sause, but they couldn't understand us. But there was one time when I ate Chinese food on job and cried because of spiciness. I was eating and crying, can you imagine? I was so hungry that I should to eat. It was the worst experience in China. My mark to small Chinese cafes 3 of 10 because you'll never know. 7. McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Burger King If you like it you can try it here,but they are also made in Chinese way a little bit. All KFC sandwiches are spicy, McDonalds and Burger King are not so good also, Subway is OK, but with Chinese ingredients and small amount of sauces. And fast food are not so good for models ;D if you order a Salad here you'll get only leafs of Salad and one cherry tomatoe :DDD not so helpful when you are hungry. My mark 5 of 10. 8. Homemade food. I think it's really good when you have time to cook food by yourself because you will be sure in ingredients and how healthy and fresh it is. The difficulty is in time deficit. Going to supermarket, cooking it takes a lot of time, sometimes you don't have this time because of castings and jobs. I try to cook as often as it's possible.
