My piece for the "Saint Seiya in Winter" fanzine organized by @saintseiya-zone!! ❄️

➡️ This is a FREE digital zine that you can check HERE! This time I had the chance to draw my pookies (the dream gods) so of I course I needed to draw them eating Roscón de Reyes 👑 a traditional cake you eat on January 6th in Spain! More info under the "read more".

Phantasos got the little figurine that's hidden inside the roscón and is proudly showing it to El Cid. Since she found the figurine, tradition says she's "crowned" the king/queen of the party (yes, roscones usually include a cardboard crown to wear hahah). However, Ikelos found the dried fava bean which is also hidden inside the roscón, but tradition says that finding it means you have to pay for the roscón 😂 It's also nowhere near as nice biting on something hard only to find out it's the fava bean and not the figurine, that's why his brothers are lightly teasing him about it.

Time for Morpheus! I love drawing this big guy 👌👌 And another version with beard because it really suits him and he already looks a bit older/more mature than his brothers. (I used inspiration/references from photos of models Wim de Klerk & Emil Andersson... And Chris Hemsworth as Thor xDDD) * 🌙 [Pheus is the easiest one to give distinct features, he is canonically the tallest and bulkiest of the four siblings, so it just made sense to make his jaw and chin also big and very masculine huh] 🌙

✨ Protect their smiles ✨

I have this hc that Morpheus and Oneiros are really close (apart from being brothers, Morpheus is usually One’s right-hand) and despite how aloof and serious they are while on a mission, they enjoy spending time together once their job is done and even loosen up a bit around each other.

Something simple and happy for the last drawing of this year, it also reminded me why I hate armors so much :’)

Just a sketch I did the other day, testing how to draw Morpheus’ hair.

The first example looks more reasonable to me, it’s also easier to draw since the way the hair falls is more defined and thus easier to remember. Problem is, he looks like a relative of Edward Elric xD

The second example is heavily based on the only official image of Morpheus without his helmet. At first this hairstyle seemed weird to me, like Teshirogi hadn’t tried at all, but after drawing it myself I gotta say it really suits him.

WIP of a poor attempt to draw a dramatic scene with these four...

Plz send help, my right hand is dead and I still got two other surplices to draw and colour... :’D (sorry for the bad quality, I made the photo with my phone instead of taking a screenshot xD)

I was serious when I said I was drawing them in Disney Style xD It’s actually a good exercise to explore different facial shapes and traits.

These are some of those sketches, although I am still working on it because some of this “redesigns” don’t convince me that much yet, anyway… if you are curious, I took references from Phoebus, John Smith, Tarzan, Eric, Ariel and Belle.
