MY JOURNEY TO MODESTY
Hi lovely, so about 2 years ago I started my journey of pursuing holiness and modesty.
From being a young lady who loved high waist pants and crop tops to being 'skirty' was truly a big transition.
See, I live on a tropical island and its mostly sunshine (other from in hurricane season) so for me to dress modestly, covering as much as possible was truly challenging.
But I truly wanted to obey the Almighty God so I had to do what I know was right.
God was working on my inside and I wanted to please Him.
I must say; true modesty starts from within.
Modesty is much more than neckline or hemline, it has to do with what is on the inside of a person.
Though modesty is much more that what is on the outside we should ensure that we also manifest outward modesty.
Most people think that being modest means being frumpy or dressing ugly but it is far from that.
Modesty is beautiful. Dressing modestly helps with self confidence.
It gives me a wonderful feeling when I get complimented and I am not wearing revealing clothes.
Our entire life should please God Almighty including but not limited to our wardrobe.
I feel delighted to be on this journey of holiness and modesty. I trust that all will be encouraged and engaged in my postings.
