does the show affect modlyverse? also what were your thoughts

I liked it! It was enjoyable. I was engaged and laughed and admittedly got emotional over the beans. There's an attention to detail to things you wouldn't think about until it hits. I don't know what to talk about specifically without getting into plot spoilers

Very important to note: I have a strong suspension of disbelief for how Among Us crewmates look. I've been playing dolls with these things for years. If people can't get past how something looks and thus can't take it seriously even when the writing could be legitimately really good, the bias is sooo unfair. Please don't write it off immediately. I'm not saying expect a masterpiece because that's a mistake to do with any media. The characters are cute and each have their individual charm, I enjoyed the dynamics, and the pacing is very good and kept us guessing. The show employed notable writers and actors and animators that did really really good with what they had. I firmly believe that some things ppl may complain about are exactly what fits a freaking "among us tv show".

I do really want to draw my interpretations of the show's crew if I can...

As for the show affecting Modleyverse: The show could fit as something that has happened somewhere in the background of modleyverse without much conflict with what we have. It's exactly the balance of comedic, tense, and horror tones we really liked already. It's mostly just the art style that'd set it apart because we like to make the more dramatic stuff more ""realistic"" and then back to beans when needed ඞ

A small thing is how they avoided any mentions of humans, as crewmate seems like its own species (and also lack of gendered pronouns**) which is really minor and honestly kind of funny. This doesn't necessarily negate humans could exist I guess so again, minor. If I were to "modley-fy" the show's crew, they would probably be humans to justify their reaction to "aliens" because Modleyverse's MIRA still originated from Earth a long time ago. Or they're the same thing as what's going on with modleyverse's Amonglee Crew but again I kinda want to draw them in full humanoid forms...

The show confirmed what we already had with Mira being a terrible company beyond just comedic ineptitude. It was vague about who was in charge tho. It had the shadow on screen that Red talks to about the delivery, and briefly showed a tall pink crewmate surrounded by several white suits in Purple's flashback. This is different to our system which had higher ups surrounded by grey suits instead (there's a reason why all our grey crewmates have looked very similar). Or containment guards. Again if we had to modley-fy the show, the pink suit can remain but if those surrounding them is some sort of guard or lackey type then they'd have to be grey/guards instead of white. If they're something else, they can probably stay. Alternatively, they can be a further out branch of MIRA that operates with their own system but that makes them not HQ/homebase.

I think I've seen ppl say the pink/whites are a reference to something? Either way until they elaborate or retcon it in the future somehow, this is the only "canon" appearance of any higher ups.

**re: the lack of gendered pronouns could be for purposeful ambiguity for writing (which is what I do) and/or the "species" is genderless (wokest show of the year). The worldbuilding confirmation about the lack of gendered pronouns is the fact that they changed the saying "he said, she said" to "they said, they said" which was hilarious

Also don't trust the show's subtitles that call, I think it was Red, "him" for one (1) scene. The captions were incorrect in other parts of the show as well, such as notably missing this joke where you can hear Purple say "leb" not "let" based of the instructions behind them that's shown multiple times

The biggest conflict is actually the topic of the existence of aliens, because we've have modleyverse crewmates (and civilians) that actually are alien or part-alien. So aliens being *real* is not supposed to be surprising because they can be your coworker. We also have robots.

Some aliens/half-aliens you've seen in modleyverse already for example: North, O'Malley, Lowri, Juniper, Ithax, and Grapevine

There is definitely still a stigma of Some alien species/outsiders being "imposters" and MIRA/general public having some paranoia, hence needing MIRA's services leaning toward protection and slightly aggressive preemptive action.

This part of the show's Captain's Handbook could be a gross exaggeration of said paranoia.

I have an old unfinished sketch where I was gonna give him a tie.

So the handbook is basically canon to Modleyverse as MIRA using his (maybe younger days) image. He was their poster boy for a while after all (he did not approve of what's written in there)

also Orange being a "new" imposter added to the "lobby" that already had one on board (Green) because of something breaking in storage is exactly how November happened LOL

and Green leaving the suit is also something November does. which is cheating by game logic but the game's system was what impeded a lot of them in the first place (the handbook)

Uniform functions on a necessity basis, what needs to be done to keep the outpost operating. Her tasks range from patrolling/security to base repairs, and is one of the few with access to weapons room. Usually most Greysuits defer to their superiors in the hierarchical structures, attempting to contact Alfa for everything is…. Uniform usually reports to whoever she deems in 'control' within current standing of Caldr-4

If it's not spoilers who of the modley crew(verse?) is the most op? whos the "oh no im fucked" if locked in a room with them?

If there are no prerequisites, Mos would be the worst to be in a locked room with because it'll be simply in its nature to eventually get you

otherwise it reads like this:

Since everyone else in the Modley Crew, except the child, is dangerous but wouldn't really have a reason to hurt someone unprompted. November has to be either confused or starving, Mars has a killmode glitch, Algernon and Dr. Steene are just. if they get bored. There's no real ranking on who's stronger than who because then that gets into like, how effectively could you kill a dust cloud vs eldritch contracts vs whatever.
