I really like how the characters in Hazbin are so forgiving.

Angel Dust started talking trash about the hotel and everyone immediately said “that mf is brainwashed. Let’s go get his ass” lmaooo. Nobody even entertained the idea that he just turned on them

Or Velvette and Valentino saying “yeah, we’re gonna fuck Vox up… and hopefully he’ll chill out and we can all be friends again”

It’s very sweet

I think Vivzie making a sympathetic cartoon starring characters who were condemned to Hell says a lot about her character.

Listening to “Hear My Hope” really made it click.

Growing up in the west, with religion that is taught to be very “black and white, good vs bad” can do a number on a person. Especially once they grow up, expand their worldview, and open themselves up to more nuanced ways of thinking about the logistics of morality.

Heaven and Hell, Sinners and Saints, all singing together about hope? Says a lot.
