Microsoft explores claims of Turkish Minecraft ban

Microsoft is officially looking into reports that the Turkish government is planning to ban Minecraft. Allegedly, the game encourages children to resort to violence, become isolated and kill small animals – all things the Turkish Family and Social Policies Ministry finds offensive.

New Minecraft game in the works at Telltale

We didn’t see this one coming. Telltale Games has announced another new episodic gaming series… and this one’s based on Minecraft. Set to premiere in 2015, Minecraft: Story Mode is being developed in collaboration with Mojang and members of the Minecraft community, promising an entirely new experience.

Minecraft studio now officially part of Microsoft

Microsoft‘s buy-out of Minecraft studio Mojang is now complete. The $2.5bn acquisition was revealed in September.
